Jmothecat2
The Patel story is now getting even odder. Apparently she suggested on her trip that some of Britain's aid budget be diverted to help fund the Israeli army. God knows what she was playing at. You would rather have this mess and Brexit than Ed Milliband?I thought you were a Labour fan? It was sarcasm. Highlighting the irony of the Tories apparently being the safe choice when this is what has happened since.
EH75
Pornograhpy on a work computer? How daft are these folk? Can't afford a separate laptop for their porn on their £70k a year salary. Also note how most of the ire over the (legal although morally dubious) tax dodges is (as usual) being directed mostly towards the people who have taken advantage of it and not the system which allows it to happen. I put a fiver on her to be next PM back when Cameron was in power, so in all honesty I'd be pissed off she waited this long.

I also don't see any guarantee that an Indy Scotland wouldn't have a monarchy, wouldn't end up with a right-wing government etc. It seems like a lot of risk with little guarantee it would lead to the sort of country I would like anyway. It also overlooks the emotional connection I have with the U.K. It's something that I felt about withdrawal from the EU but will be even more pronounced with the U.K. As it's a country we share so much with. Simply because I don't agree with the direction it is going in doesn't automatically equate with wanting to separate from it for me. There's a lot I dislike about the UK but there's plenty I'm not thrilled about with Scotland as well. This is how it feels to be Labour, this is how it feels to be small...

The tax stuff will be forgotten about in a week or so and it'll be as you were. The trouble is the people who want change don't have the power to effect it and even if they did they probably wouldn't exercise it. Such is life.

Jmothecat2
How have Johnson and Patel still not been sacked? May is incredibly weak. Any other government in recent history and they would be out the door already. The longer this goes on the worse this looks for May.

It's quite obvious why they haven't been sacked because May simply can't afford to lose anymore Ministers at the moment. Obviously.
