Britain is still a world-beater at one thing: ripping off its own citizens

Spot on from the Grauniad on PFIs, leaseholds, the railways and energy. What a fucking mess we're in.

Will those newspapers ever respond to this? Genuine question.

Do they defend themselves? Someone should get in touch and see what they say?

I believe that Wings have contacted them to complain about the accuracy of the article.

Look out for a tiny 2 line correction buried deep on page 2 in a few weeks time.

Until any of those attention seekers who think they are the independence movement step up.
He's the guy that's going to keep doing this stuff.
He's still a fucking idiot at times though.

Reminds me of the joke about an apology in the sitcom Hot Metal.

Some poor old sod accused of being a paedo by The Daily Crucible - someone else gets caught so his solicitor asks for compensation and an apology. Cheque arrives in post but still no apology so solicitor phones up:

"You said you'd print an apology"

"We did"

"Where?"

"Page 26. 4. Down"

"A crossword clue 'He's not guilty' is not an apology"

And getting away with taking performance enhancing drugs while being pompous about fools who get caught.

What they can't explain is how they made 50% less profit before tax while increasing turnover by 54%

Sell 1m items for 49p profit or 1.54m for 31p profit?  You do realise that revenue and profit are not directly related?
