He also went on the holiday that is cited as to where some of the embezzled money went to.

So presumably knew where her ill-gotten gains had come from?

He really should be investigated as to exactly what his role was in this matter.

Surely the fact that she tried to change her guilty plea to not guilty wouldn't have helped her case either.

I wonder if the people thinking its "harsh" would have thought the same had it been her Tory husband in the dock?

If her Tory husband was in the dock we'd just have heard about "husband of former SNP MP" every time.

Imagine marrying a Tory.  Imagine one of your kids marrying a Tory.  I’d fucking disown them.

Think it'd be a race to the bottom.

Don’t quite buy into this viewpoint

The child can be looked after its Dad plus additional family members

I can understand Judges taking personal circumstances into account if the child would be taken into care etc but this clearly isn’t the case here

She committed a serious, despicable crime

She needs to fucking lump it

ETA: we’re not miles apart on a point here

No, I think our thoughts are pretty much the same.

Also, I've not heard any calls to go lenient on the mums when it's some schemie from Pilton getting done for nicking stuff from Morrisons.

Surely that doesn't require bail.

I would think it's unusal to be granted for this. No legal expert though.

I'm thinking the appeal will take a long of time so her sentance would exceed a possibe sentance reduction.
