RostokMcSpoons
Equaliser very much against the run of play. Blimey, a new experience, watching the Well and *not* wanting to gouge my eyes out with a spoon. Hammy must already be doing good things behind the scenes, as the hoofball was reduced to a minimum, and we even pressed from the front
Andy H
who knew that that pile of shite we thought we had can actually play!

Yeah, doesn't it already feel like they're good enough to fairly comfortably avoid relegation*? We've certainly managed to make Aberdeen look ordinary, again. Maybe it doesn't count when the team is already sitting on the mantelpiece (*Famous last words, jinxed it) Edited August 13, 2022 by RostokMcSpoons

well fan for life
We won and we won by playing football that didn't make me want to pull my eyes out my skull. Incredible.
MP_MFC
Assuming that’s our baseline with Hammell we will be fine.
Andy H
If that is us under Hammell before he strengthens the squad I can't wait to see what we are like when he does Edited August 13, 2022 by Andy H
well fan for life
I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say we created more clear cut chances in that second half than we did in about 6 months last season.
Handsome_Devil
There are all kinds of caveats for the more serious discussion after some consideration but what a reaction, what a performance, what a day. Bloody hell.

There is no point getting carried away but it was as clear as day that the shackles were off a few players there - imagine we played with that tempo and freedom against Sligo... To make a noticeable change and to win a game comfortably means that Hammy has started as well as we could have hoped. Defence still needs a huge amount of work but if we're scoring 3, that's fine.

Jim McLean's Ghost
Just a few subtle changes and a lot more belief in the players. I guess it was still a 4-3-3 but nearer a 4-1-4-1 with Cornelius and Slattery given the job of pushing forward to close down the ball and the wide forwards staying wide instead of chasing all over the place. Made our attacking play more predictable as in our players knew where our forwards were going to be making their runs from. It just seemed easier to get forward. Even when Efford came on he was able to cover the left side of the park and provide an attacking outlet on the left flank.
thisGRAEME
Hahahahah what a fucking ridiculous football club we are
Swello
I found it hard watching Cornelius today and not feeling frustrated in amongst being so impressed with him. He's obviously miles away from the finished article as you would expect but the fact that he wasn't getting the game time he needs to get there is a huge waste of time. He needs played, even when his form shades as he looks perfectly suited to our level of football. Also, I think it's fine (and a good thing) when a player knocks his pan in for an hour and then needs replaced as he's utterly fucked - with the number of subs we're allowed now, it should be a standard thing to do.
Lukovic
From the brief bits of the game I saw in-between pints we actually seemed to play well. Probably should've scored more. The defense is still a bit shaky though.
