How dare we buy the best that we can afford. I'm sure no other club would try to do the same

Just to keep you grounded.

I don't think he's all that good or won you the title.

I mean, read what Liverpool fans say about him.

Interesting to see that some Celtic posters are saying they would be happy with Rodgers winning the league and qualifying for the CL group stages

Strachan managed to do that and more (last 16 CL) but was never totally accepted by many Celtic fans.

I suppose Rodgers is Irish at least, so he should have half a chance with the support

Strachan was accepted by me. Great wee manager.

Celtic clearly been saving the pennies until Rangers come back.

Interesting timing too just before Rangers play a final.

Indeed...and a 12 month contract for Brendan confirms their commitment to the future.

Really? I couldn't care less how they take to it.

Fair enough.

His shady past might upset some of your fervent uber fans though.

I quite like Brendan Rogers. He's a breath of fresh air to be honest.

The fact he's been in a relationship with an ex-man shows he's exactly what Scottish football needs to take it out of the dark ages.

Good on him!

Yeah. That and an end to sectarianism.

I quite agree. :thumsup2

Credit to Celtic.....

Is that  the first, open, bisexual manager?

Not sure but credit due.

But that is the key point.

Strachan was the most successful C*ltic manager in years. But he was a Scottish Protestant so he was hated.

John Barnes is black so he was despised and out the door quickly.

O'Neill was less successful than Strachan but they loved him. He was an Irish Catholic though.

Celt*c fans are racist bigots. You can't expect anything less from these scumbags.

Scotland's last euro qualifying campaign would beg to differ.

What has Strachan's record with Scotland got to do with anything?

He was more successful with Celt*c than O'Neill.

Yet C*ltic fans loved O'Neill and hated Strachan.

That is because they are, by and large, racist bigots.

Well they both had teams in the same group,Strachan had an arguably better team/squad yet came behind O'Neill.

Both were great for Celtic, I couldn't even tell you what religion Strachan is if you want to peddle this myth.

I like many Celtic supporters liked Strachan, his demeanour rubs some people up the way for some reason though. Look in tartan army ramblings on this forum and you can see that. Are they bigots too?
