I couldn’t give a f**k tbh.

He’s gone, he’ll be a name the fans will claim was either pish, or unfairly treated for the next 10 years.

I would agree if noone was talking about him at all - I would have no issue with that state of affairs.

But instead we have club journalists attacking him, riddled with factual innacuracies, ages after he was last at the club, for no identifiable reason other than, by a process of deduction, to try and protect the reputation of the former manager.

Its completely embarrassing, and in my view only further raises suspicions about the stories put forward against him.

The other guys are showing potential and there's no doubt that we're all going to need a level of patience to allow them to develop into a decent squad.

Patience will be key, who knows how long the players will need to kick on. Could take until December or January.

So obvious this was coming given the size of the squad and the experience on the books, along with fees, paying off Davidson etc. chucking money at a team of grandads for a hopeless manager really coming home to roost.

Is there honestly a Saints fan who wasn't expecting this? It's not surprising really.

I'm sure there will be folk maybe not following saints closely enough who might wonder what has happened, but when you spend money on fees, sign older players on expensive long term contracts, free the players you spend a fee on, while at the same time, have 2 very poor seasons in a row, then pay off the manager we handed an expensive lomg contract too, it's hardly a huge surprise.

The £4.5m cash is there for exactly seasons like the ones we have just had.

On the positive side we’re still in a very good financial position. On the other hand we’ve blown a ton of cash with very little reward. With that level of expenditure you’d expect some sort of return. What did they base the budget on? Were the forecasts based on us winning the double again and having sell out crowds every game? Or did someone just think, f**k it, sanction everything and everyone?

Ian Flaherty, aye.

The guy who sat on WyScout one night watching videos, used that to claim he'd been to 5+ countries looking for a striker, then sanctioned us paying a fee for Nicky Clark.

Type of guy who you see in casinos gambling themselves into debt because some randoms are at the same table egging them on.

😂 I actually met the bold ‘Flax’ recently and he seemed alright.

I think he is tbf, but the general consensus of folk i know who know him, when he was hired, was laughing and talking about how he was miles out his depth.

A club with any plan doesnt even contemplate giving him the power we did. Would be interesting to know the actual process behind hiring him.

I think (and can't remember when it was) that it was pretty well signalled earlier this year that there would be 7 figure losses coming.

I think the club fell into the trap of freeing the purse strings for a successful manager who had no real plan. Had we spunked the money of players who had any kind of resale value you Goulding understand, but combined, how much of that £1.5m losses comes from Bair, Mahon and Cleary who all would have cost us well in excess of 6 figures between fees and wages, yet contributed absolutely nothing.
