In short.  It goes back to when Stewart played under him at Hearts.  He came in on loan from Man United, acted like he was big time but was basically shite. Levein told him he was shite and Mikey didn’t like it.

Was the deal not sealed for £1, CL claimed it was the worse pound he's ever spent 🤣

Yeah. Levein claimed they had to offer him some form of wage to seal a loan deal from Man U, so offered £1 a week. Then claims its the worst value for money signing he ever made.

Chance to see what level hes actually at, but still not convinced he can be anything more than back up as the central CB.

Just seemed hellishly slow for anything else.

And next to Considine that's some achievement, albeit Considine has experience to make up for it (and this season seems to have cut out the braindead mistakes that were plaguing him last season and early this season)

Andy Considine has been great and holds our defense together. Been a really good signing.

I was broadly happy most of last season (except when he did braindead things like get sent off against Celtic in the 89th minute or whatever it was), but he's been cool as a cucumber this year. I'd be perfectly happy to keep him into next season and phase him into coaching or something. I imagine he's absolutely invaluable behind the scenes too as a calming influence.

Considine turns 37 in a few months, id worry another Summer break might finish him, despite how fit he seems to be just now.

He has been good for us. Maybe the travelling to and from Aberdeen again would be too much and could see him go to Cove or somewhere nearby in a coaching role in the summer.

Cammy Ballantyne away to Clyde on loan.

We really have wasted about 3 years of his career, fingers crossed he stands out there and gets a good move in the Summer.

Thoughts on him ? You've probably not seen enough of him to judge tbf !

Will be an excellent signing at that level if he can find his form. Gives him a chance to do well and earn him a move to League 1 in the summer.

Came into the first team at the end of last season and looked alright for us, just wasn't able to find any form at the start of the season. Doesn't help him that our midfield is miles better now.

I think he'll do very well in league 2.

If he's the kind of player who likes a challenge and has something to prove then that would suit us. He is definitely being pitched headlong into a battle, that's for sure !

Box to box type i think. Plenty of energy in terms of pressing and seems to have a knack of timing runs into the box well.

Probably wasnt good enough technically for the top flight but didnt seem an issue in League One with Montrose so should be fine in League Two? Dont think he was bad for them defensively either but i dont think he'd stand out much as a holding midfielder, you really want him in/around the box.
