Q & A With Jim McInally Fri 12th Aug

As the heading says this Friday at 7pm in the away dressing room at Balmoor. Jim kindly has attended this for a number of years & is always willing to share his opinion on football matters regarding Peterhead & the game in general. Something you want to know then come along & ask Jim, there is every chance you will get an answer there & then.
Depending on what is asked it usually lasts around an hour, so rather than question everything from the stand come & ask the man himself.

Too late for that - Jim won't drop underperforming players so it doesn't matter who we sign.

It's same old, same old, a continuation of last year's car crash end of season results. I couldn't believe that Jim was going to offer the whole team contracts at the end of the season as a clearout was evident as there are too many players guaranteed a place no matter how they perform. It looks like the signing of Rumsby and loanee Kelleher hasn't solved our defensive problems which are not helped by having a goalkeeper who is a good shot stopper but terrible at crosses and corners, we also require two RECOGNISED full backs - not stand-in midfielders.

The other worrying aspect is our lack of goals and it looks like teams are getting wise to shackling McAllister which means we are virtually toothless up front. It is early days, but until Jim becomes more ruthless with the under performers, it could be a long season.

Jim obviously doesn't fancy the boy Samuels. If he was even semi competent he'd be getting a game at right back over Strachan, Smith, Blockley etc.

This. What's the point of signing a right back on a short term contract and then not giving him a chance to play and even worse playing midfielders/central defenders at right back.

Maybe he'll get a run out against Brora. Either that or he'll be offered a contract extension without playing a game.

Our last proper right back was Davie Donald. Since then it has all been stand ins or converted players.

Our line up yesterday could have been the same as any game last season - only Kelleher was new and nothing has changed.

As has been said Baptie and Samuels can't be any worse than what we are playing at the moment. Hopeful for something on Tuesday night but we never seem to do well in midweek games.

Mcinally saying he'll be rotating the squad and making eight changes for the game against Brora tonight. Do we even have eight changes?

When he says rotating and making changes, he means:

                        Dzierzawski
    Ferry              McAllister       Redman
Rumsby        Ross    McIntosh    Strachan
    Noble            Kelleher           Smith
