HibeeJibee
Is it not normal that the promoted team takes on the relegated teams fixtures? Yes, but as noted there seems to have been an exception when Hearts came up, it was observed when people discussed post-split imbalances. Partick Thistle are saying that because Rangers & Celtic used to always be balanced-out they expected them to still be balanced-out - but they were always balanced-out because they were ever-presents (indeed ever 1st & 2nd except one occasion). Maybe Partick should have checked in advance, instead of assuming.
Nizzy
Where would you stop anyway? Rangers and Celtic may not even be the biggest draws at some clubs (e.g. Dundee / Dundee Utd for St Johnstone?). Having four homes games against the OF and two home ties against Dundee is doubly lucky for the Saintees, eh?
Nizzy
Maybe Partick should have checked in advance, instead of assuming. Or maybe, rolling on from your point about the Hearts situation last season, the SPFL should have communicated with its member clubs.
RandomGuy.
I take it Nizzys one of these fans who'll never, ever, accept his clubs the one that fucked up?
The Saintee
Having four homes games against the OF and two home ties against Dundee is doubly lucky for the Saintees, eh? Yes. And Steve Brown should definitely base our budget for next year on the assumption that it'll happen again.
Steve McQueen
Having four homes games against the OF and two home ties against Dundee is doubly lucky for the Saintees, eh? Tbf last season we only had Dundee Utd twice of the bigger clubs. So this we have Celtic, Aberdeen, Hearts & Dundee twice (not Rangers though)
commander
Ironically the clubs moaning about not getting to milk the OF boaby are the same ones who will be dead against league reconstruction which would ensure no 'sporting imbalance' (it's only an imbalance if you treat celtic and rangers differently to other teams- how can you possibly justify that). They are so obsessed with getting the maximum money from away fans they have been willing to forfeit 'sorting integrity in the past. They certainly don't care who else they get at home or away - not for sporting reasons anyway. Well, if you milk a boaby enough time's you'll eventually end up with jizz in the eye. Deefiant
Since we've come up our "big" home games have been Utd and Celtic. Season 1 we got 4 guaranteed home games against those mobs. Season 2 we got 2 guaranteed home games against them. Season 3 Utd are gone but Rangers are up to replace them as one of our top two away attendances - 4 home games. Is this rotation the same for others? Just the luck of the draw lads, up to you to improve enough to get top 6 and those potential 2nd home games against the arse cheeks. Pride_of_the_Clyde
Delighted to see Them out themselves as the small-time, tinpot, pathetic red-and-yellow bunch of immoral scum they are. Had they not cheated and kicked their way to the Premiership they'd still be lingering in the lower leagues as relevant to Glaswegians as QP. Be grateful that you've even been allowed this much. Fully agree with you. This is why we'll never see any league reconstruction too many premiership teams chairmen only care about licking the old firm arse in return for some extra pennies. Seriously thistle fans should be embarrassed about that statement.

lubo_blaha
So the team that refused to sell a full stand to fans of the Rangers are now moaning that they only get to play them at home once, how embarrassing. Doesn't say much for their confidence in their manager and squad that they are assuming they won't finish in the top 6 again. The last few years have shown that the rest of the clubs can get by just fine without the gruesome twosome in the same division. Clearly some clubs were looking forward to the status quo resuming.
