It was Rangers getting into the top flight that forced Celtic to get their act together this season and as a result, move as far from the diddies as their huge resources dictate they really should be. The greatest hope for the genuinely competitive game that MJC pretends he'd like to see, lay in keeping the OF apart. There's probably about four teams capable of getting between the two next season and finishing ahead. Aberdeen, Hearts, Hibernian and St. Johnstone. Rangers target for next season will be to finish 2nd and cut the gap to Celtic, both achievable goals for them.
