That the league needs a strong Rangers and a title race and without a strong Rangers there can be no title race because no other club is capable of seriously challenging for it.

The league does not need a strong Rangers. What it does need is a club to challenge Celtic. Not sure where a challenge can come from though.

Last season was an embarrassment.

This. Only club who can do that are like it or not, Sevco.

If Hearts or Hibs can do it, tremendous! Even better for Scottish football!

I think you are barking up the wrong tree.

The fans of the other Premiership are enjoying Celtics dominance because it gives them a shout at 2nd.

That won't change for a long time.

I know it is blasphemous, but what if Hearts and Hibs did merge?

They'd continue to post pics of some baldy guy and the former Jambo's would join in with the pretending to support Celtic jape.

They are the only club that can seriously challenge Celtic for the title, no one else can. It's not good for the league to have one club running away with it any winning it before Halloween.

That, and the fact that this place and others like it will be hilarious with the obsessors spewing about it. :)

They would need to put in a serious challenge for 2nd first before even thinking about challenging Celtic. Not sure why you think Celtic fans will be spewing about it when they are after the 10 in a row. Your post just reads like you are spewing about it.

You'd think that, yet ....

Having only one very much bigger club in the way, also brought that club in closer to the pack and enabled others to win cups.

It was Rangers getting into the top flight that forced Celtic to get their act together this season and as a result, move as far from the diddies as their huge resources dictate they really should be.

The greatest hope for the genuinely competitive game that MJC pretends he'd like to see, lay in keeping the OF apart.  Reuniting them just leads to an arms race that ensures diddies can't compete.

There's probably about four teams capable of getting between the two next season and finishing ahead. Aberdeen, Hearts, Hibernian and St. Johnstone.

Rangers target for next season will be to finish 2nd and cut the gap to Celtic, both achievable goals for them. Though the second target relies entirely in Celtic's hands rather than anything Rangers could do other than in the 4 league games between them.

Do you not think the Sevco meltdown if Celtic were to win 10IAR would be absolutely hilarious?

It'll be worth the current sellick domination IMO.

Nah.

I'd much prefer the Celtic meltdown were Rangeds to stop them reaching 10IAR personally. That would be hilarious in my opinion.
