I would guess when Warburton signed his initial contract (reported to be a very modest £6k a week) that he knew from day one his salary would be increased should he secure promotion.

You forgot any bonuses for winning the league and any other benefits not stated as wages possibly pushing up that modest £300K plus a year to some other astronomical sum.

That would be a clause in his original contract though, that's nothing to do with a contract extension.

Rangers may have preferred waiting instead of adding clauses. The club wasn't sure what the budget was even going to be at that point so it makes sense to simply offer new contracts.

Away wi ye, Warburton holding out on negotiations for a better deal. No new Messiah at the helm then the horde will not be happy and less money to syphon out of the club for the shameless glib. Warburton has Dodgy Dave by the baws.

Agreed, he did very well indeed.

But I think Rangers will try to send him out on loan given the fact Rossiter, Krancjar and Barton weren't in the squad.

Hardie has possibly the best chance of being this seasons's Barrie McKay.

Wouldn't mind us bringing Walsh back. He had a slow start, and even ended up dropped, but once he settled in he became a very decent player. I reckon he would be very, very decent in a more attacking (or better) team.
