They’re all decent names and decent players but they’re on their way down and coming toward the last few years of their careers. Be paying a fortune for these guys too. **** gonna *** Yep, signed purely because the fans will have heard of them. You mention no money will be made from them which is true, no indent to Celtic's domination will be made either.
1320Lichtie
Players get injured, Dorrans got a nasty one from Power. Even when he’s played, he’s been good, same with Murphy, but that’s it. Arfield, McGregor, McArthur etc, all these names will be the same, they’ll cost a lot in wages, they will have zero sell on value, they won’t be good enough to topple Celtic. Signing these names are just short term fixes that will just waste some more money and keep them as one of the better looking 2nd place sides ahead of the Edinburgh clubs and Aberdeen. Maybe that’s just Rangers level now who knows.Compare that to Celtic who go out and try to build a team, sign guys on the cheap that will potentially have big sell on values (Wanyama/Forster/VVD/Hooper of the past and currently Dembele/Ntcham/Ajer/Armstrong) and think of the long term. Rangers signing staunch **** that are past their best seems to be the next short fix master plan and look forward to seeing it fail miserably. Bet McGregor can’t believe his luck

Cerberus
Stevie G is only a year older than McGregor and is a year younger than Miller. He'll be player manager which means King can save on a salary. King will pay off those South African court orders in no time.

bennett
Sevrumours from the express. Alnwick leaving and Gary McAllister as a possible assistant manager (not too happy about that) -

Bet McGregor can’t believe his luck Celtic are able to focus on younger players (they don't only buy those players anyway) as they have an established spine of good players in the team already. We've been buying younger guys like Morelos, Docherty and John but not every signing can be like that. It's unrealistic to have a team solely of under 23 year players without experience beside them. We've only got maybe 5 (or less) players who could consistently play in a title-winning side. We've definitely signed far too many over the hill players (Kranjcar, Barton, Alves) but Murphy and Arfield are the type of players we should be targeting along with younger players.

Cerberus
Shame he is Canadian. He would finally have been picked for the Scotland team now.
red23
I have a feeling deep within my ball sack that there is utterly no way Gerrard will go to Rangers. The humour there would be if he does indeed DO, WALKING AWAY

Cerberus
"Rangers man" Arfield will be getting £20k a week. He loves the 'gers so he does. Pure. Loves. Them.
