bennett
After ten months of ineptly investigating Sevco, the SFAs QC led legal team cock it up again. Oh has anyone seen @hellbhoy recently? " The Scottish Football Association will have to go to the Court of Arbitration for Sport to pursue a case against Rangers for an alleged breach of rules over a UEFA licence. The Glasgow club's legal team has successfully argued that the issues surrounding the licence for the 2011-12 season would need to be dealt with by the Swiss-based court under the terms of the five-way agreement, which allowed Rangers to continue playing in 2012. Rangers refused to accept a notice of complaint issued in May by the Celtic compliance officer which raised two charges relating to complying with UEFA rules, observing the principles of sportsmanship and "behaving towards the Scottish FA and other members with the utmost good faith" -

Yeah I saw that one. Will be interesting to see if they escalate it now. I suspect not and if so will be good to have that behind us with all the other stuff going on.
Forest of Dean
Docherty allowed to leave on loan supposedly. He'd be better off getting game time but if this means Halliday in and around the squad then that is not good. Maybe we will sign another centre midfielder but I assumed that a CB and a ST would be the only additional signings.
nsr
If only other clubs would accept Monopoly money as payment, Rangers would have a world class midfield.

It actually means Rangers don't think the SFA can rule on this ...and the SFA agree!...a basic preliminary proceeding Rangers are gambling they don't take it to CAS as the last section of the article clearly implies. "In response to Thursday's ruling, Rangers expressed hope that the SFA would now consider the matter closed." A club statement said: "Rangers has always been clear about the futility of this action and hopes the Scottish FA will now put the matter to bed and agree to move on and concentrate on the development of Scottish Football in the interests of all members of the SFA."

Apparently CAS cases are time barred to 5 years, you have to wonder just how much the SFA have spent in pandering to the moon howlers? 8 minutes ago, Jdog said: Nice editing... Christ on a bike You seemed to have left this bit out of your copy n paste, for some reason? An SFA statement read: "This preliminary issue raised by Rangers FC challenged the jurisdiction of the Scottish FA's Judicial Panel Disciplinary Tribunal to hear the case, and contended that the notice of complaint must be determined by the Court of Arbitration for Sport. "Having received submissions on 26 June the Judicial Panel Disciplinary Tribunal have issued a decision upholding the preliminary issue raised by the club. "The Judicial Panel Disciplinary Tribunal proposes to continue consideration of the complaint until parties consider next steps and terms of reference for any remit to CAS."

This is what utter simpletons think. The SFA tried to bring a charge against Rangers and couldn't make it stick. This is what anyone with an ounce of sense thinks. The CAS reference is nothing more than a sop to appease the Clause 12 plastic morons.
