I could be reading too much into that but it has a pinch of the Walter Smith about it. He liked playing that card. The classic Football Manager tactic.
bennett
Rangers are keen on a deal to sign Billy Gilmour on loan next month. Chelsea are open to the prospect of sending the teenage midfielder back to Ibrox until the end of the season Rangers are keen to bring Gilmour back to Ibrox on loanCredit: Getty Images - Getty Gilmour started the Champions League clash against FK Krasnodar on Tuesday night. But he has fallen down the pecking order in the battle for places in Frank Lampard’s midfield. Gilmour, who missed four months following knee surgery, is the subject of an approach by former club Gers. The Scotland Under-21 star would benefit from greater exposure to first team action at Ibrox, providing him with a platform to gatecrash Steve Clarke’s Euro 2020 squad

We don’t need a midfielder on a short term loan. We need a long term replacement for Davis. The only way this works is if Zungu’s loan is cut short.

bennett
Apparently Benfica are interested in Kamara after being impressed by his performances.

Gilmour still needs work. He’s going to be a superstar but he’s not there yet, not by a long way. So I don’t see the point in bringing him in to develop him for another team for six months, unless he’s a clear upgrade on a player we already have there. And at this present time, I don’t think he is. That may be a different story in 12 months right enough.

I'm not surprised. Easily the classiest midfielder playing in Scotland.
bennett
A lot of people were surprised when we signed him from Dundee, for £50k he's probably been one of the best bargains we've ever had and has had some great games against decent Europa sides.

"Showing you care" = attempting 50 cross field passes that get cut out in the middle of the park and giving away needless fouls. Kamara was a joy to watch at Dens. I don't think he's particularly improved at Ibrox just a better standard of player shows his capabilities more. What's the rumoured fee (if there is one)?

He is, though, much stronger and fitter and thus has added a lot to his game.
G51
The cage football upbringing that Kamara has had really shows in his game. Same with Aribo and Bassey. The close control these boys have is worth paying to watch by itself.

I can't see Chelsea loaning him to a team in a league where 3 rivals play on artificial surfaces. I'm not Steven Gerrard, so I don't know. It's not happening anyway. Jim White @JimWhite I understand @ChelseaFC have no plans to loan rising star Billy Gilmour to @RangersFC or anyone else right now - he’s a big part of the plans at the London club. Will be really good after a run of games. If you haven't seen his goal from Friday it is something else.

Depends on his contract situation. At the moment he can leave in the summer so we'd need to get him signed up again.
