Ibrox boss Mark Warburton was desperate to get game time for Phillipe Senderos, Rob Kiernan, Matt Crooks and Joe Dodoo ahead of this Saturday’s vital clash with Partick Thistle. Rangers were happy to continue with only one assistant – and referee David Dickinson was on-board. But Hibs under-20s boss Eddie May – who previously worked in the Rangers youth department – refused to continue without a qualified replacement. A Rangers source said: “It was Hibs who stopped the game from continuing.
