And yes we got Manager of the month as well, aren't we great???emoji6.png

Good to see this lad doing well. Wondered what happened to him since his move to Hibs.

Nothing special there. Hibs will have made the guts of £2m from their runs to the two Cup Finals last year (less whatever bonuses were paid to the players and management). To have posted a profit of £200,000 would suggest their actual normal trading income and profits were much worse than the year before (presumably not sharing a division with Hearts was a major part of that).

Where you getting this info from?

Anyway, no external debt, a couple milly in the bank and crowds massively up. We're on our way back to where we belong.

Massive credit to the club for increasing the wage bill last year when everyone was telling us there would be a firesale. 16k through the gates, a Scottish Cup and a club in great financial health proving Leeanne, Rod and George right.

Thought I would have a wee look and see Hibs fans thoughts on Stubbs getting the sack.

Hardly shocked I instead found Falkirk fans in absolute tears rambling about Vaulks. Big team envy.

No surprise really. A manager who failed to get a side with a massive budget out the second tier of Scottish football in successive seasons was always going to have a Holocaust at a higher level.

Where am I getting what info from? The profit figures for this year and last are in the article Zing linked. You've gone from losing £840k in a year two years ago to making £200k last year (11 months but it's still a whole playing season so revenue wise probably about the same). In 14/15 you reached the last 8 of the League Cup and semi final of the Scottish Cup. I failed to appreciate you'd made the semi finals of the Scottish Cup the previous year so had done well out of it then too. In getting two rounds further in the League Cup and winning the Scottish Cup you will have made at least £1m more from the two cups than you did the previous year so probably traded to approximately the same results without it, maybe slightly worse.

Chances are both years would have lost more than £1.5m if you had lost early in all the cups. That of course is the side effect of playing at this level where your prize for 3rd in each of the last two seasons is about 20% of what Dundee United got for finishing 12th in the Premier.

In both the last two seasons you'll have had a parachute payment from the league you won't be getting now and you already lost early in the the League Cup this time. Against that you've got tremendous home crowds this season which will undoubtedly help and you are likely to win the league. If you don't though losses are likely to be high.
