Juve winning 4-0 last night and Roma just beating Pescara 4-1 equals a record 48 goals in a single Serie A weekend. Very close to hitting a ridiculous 50 goals. Roma alone could have scored about another 6 or 7 tonight.
DanMc99
Roma are a player or two away from being a real force but they seem to fail to buy someone in the mould of batigol or even montella.dzeko been good this year but he's not always at it

Salah was a little unfortunate with the offside goal in the 2nd minute, but El Shawary and Naingollan both missed clear chances in the first half. I switched off at HT, but saw a replay Salah's goal from the Pescara corner. What a counter attack.
lanky_ffc
Seems like a solid move for Roma. He's unearthed some excellent talent for Sevilla and reportedly made them upwards of £200m in transfer fees. http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/683/main/2017/04/24/34902322/roma-seal-deal-for-sevilla-sporting-director-monchi

Allan Jacobsen
Not sure if it's been covered already but Pescara losing to Roma on Monday confirmed their relegation to Serie B based on head-to-head results against 17th placed Empoli (losing 4-0 at home and drawing 1-1 away). If Palermo lose today or match Empoli's result then they are also relegated. If Empoli lose and Palermo draw then they are not relegated as they have only played Empoli once this season, losing 1-0. They face each other on the last day of the season. Palermo will, however, be 12 points away from safety with 4 games left. Basically, Palermo need to win all their games and Empoli need to lose all of theirs. Palermo are currently winning 1-0 and Empoli are losing 2-1. As has already been mentioned, SPAL are almost guaranteed promotion to Serie A. They drew 0-0 yesterday at Spezia. If third placed Frosinone lose tomorrow then SPAL will be 9 points clear of third place with three games left to go. However, Frosinone have beaten SPAL in both meetings this season so SPAL cannot be promoted until next weekend at the earliest. Pisa and Latina look almost certain to be relegated from Serie B. Pisa were originally banned from playing in Serie B this season but that was overturned. Ternana are in the final relegation spot with Brescia and Vicenza in the relegation playoff spots.
Allan Jacobsen
Palermo win 2-0, Empoli lose 3-1. Palermo survive another week. Crotone also drew 1-1 against Milan so they're another point closer to safety.
Kris.
Continuing the theme of the last couple of posts, a couple of promotions from Lega Pro already confirmed. Foggia won group C, whilst Venezia won group B. Alessandria and Cremonese are both tied at the top on the same number of points with just a game left in group A. Cremonese top on H2H and have the easier of the games on the final day so would imagine they'll be going up. The majority of the Serie D groups have also had their champions decided. A few will go down to the last game. In regards to the Serie B Play-offs, hopefully someone a bit different will come up. Pretty much any side in there just now other than Frosinone or Carpi would do. Bari & Salernitana not far outside the places just now would be decent as well.
Allan Jacobsen
Nothing is decided in Group A yet. As Kris says, promotion is not decided yet. Likewise, one of Lupa Roma or Racing Roma will be relegated. Lupa being 2 points ahead. Relegation is decided in Group B with Ancona going down - bit of a surprise given how bad Forli were at the start of the year. Newly-promoted Taranto were relegated from Group C. Alessandria had a great start to the season, something like 20 games unbeaten but then they collapsed a bit. They've picked up in the last five games or so but they're drawing too many. They've got Pontedera next week, who have nothing to play for. Might end up being an 'agreed' result there. Cremonese have Racing Roma who, as I said above, are fighting relegation. Cremonese should still win though. In D/B, Lecco are being funded by the Italian footballing authorities to get through the rest of their season. I think they went bankrupt in December. This was a team who were hoping to be administratively promoted to Lega Pro at the end of last season. Leonzio, who have won D/I, were promoted from Eccellenza last season so they've achieved consecutive promotions. There's already been three teams who have gone out of business throughout the season: Foligno, Chieti and Due Torri. There's also been another matchfixing scandal in the lower league of Italian football. Usual stuff.

lanky_ffc
Napoli deservedly a goal up on Inter and looking pretty comfortable. Thought there would be more goals given Inter's leaky defence recently; they haven't won in their last 5 and have conceded 2 or more in each of those.

Could quite easily be no playoffs in Serie B this season. Pretty sure if 3rd place finish more than 9 points clear of 4th they go up automatically?
