pandarilla
To be fair to the guys in central defence they're being left completely hung out to dry by the full backs and midfield. Fully agree.

(Or the other way round) Flood makes a late run and gets goal side of doc. Too easy. Adams got dragged out to the cross becausr Gilmour and Devlin had been done. Next in is Paddy Boyle then Doc then Murphy. Obviously you need to be a bit fluid but Paddy Boyle at left back was actually covering Jamie Adams the right centre half on a number of occasions (see all three goals). rb123!
Does anyone know why Adam's was playing in centre-back yesterday instead of Meggatt. I know Meggatt had a few poor games but thought he would have been better than Adams.
Poet of the Macabre
Jamie Adams is terrible. I don't know why Ayr fans rate him so highly.
HoBNob
Jamie Adams is terrible. I don't know why Ayr fans rate him so highly. All still pining for the first ten games of last season when Adams and Docherty had a good run of form.

Probably because Mccall thought that a big scary looking ugly fucktard like Adams would scare the fairy strikers that Dundee United have.... Clearly didn't work. Players shouldn't be played out of position, Adams should have been in the midfield alongside Harkins, in the heart of all the action, to play throughballs, keep tempo and telekinetically castrate anyone within a 5 metre radius. pandarilla
I'm guessing he was tinkering to try and find a bit more joy at the back. How has Adams been in the first two games (in centre mid)?
Hawkes97
Its still early doors but if we keep performing the same way as yesterday then we're down. Thought Harkins was excellent, could walk into any team in this league, and Fleming good as always. There's not a great deal to be said about the rest of the team as they just didn't turn up. I still have hope that we will pick up once Moore is back (how is he still out btw?) and we have a proper striker along side Nisbitt, giving us options for an outball. Dundee United looked alright but no better than the likes of Raith or QOS in my opinion. Still a lot better than us though..
munro7
Aye, thought Harkins apart we were miles off Dundee United. We seem to have no composure and keep hoofing aimless punts up the park whilst they had all the time in the world to pick passes.

We've been doing that for most of the last decade, even our better teams have usually tippytappied the ball to death at the back before a Campbell or a Murphy hoofs it up the park, it worked for Moffat in his last season with us but most of the recipients haven't been good enough to score from that sort of service, you've either got to question the vision and or ability of those doing.the hoofing or look at why the midfielders aren't readily available to receive a pass. We're now 15 days past the 6th of August and yet we're still playing with 2 or 3 that weren't good enough to be assured starters last season, time for those in charge to get their fingers out of each others arses and deliver a squad that can compete at this level before it's too late.
