No one really knows it has never been announced by the club. Missed a chunk of season through injury and then was transfer listed and then came back into the team at end of season.
DiamondOwl
Apparently EK close to completing the signing of Lee Connelly (QOTS last season). He looked a class apart in the recent friendlies and could be a real asset. Guess that probably means Flanagan is away. Anyone heard anything about him?

Don't think Connelly will drop out of the league to be honest. Is Flannagan not injured as has not played in pre season Edited July 9 by Simmsy
Houston
Flanagan was listed as having a shirt sponsor for the coming season so is, hopefully, staying. Connelly just announced at Clyde

Wilson played v Ayr and most of the game before being replaced by Scott Cowie. afraid I have no idea what’s going on with Truesdale and Avci.

Truesdale is still recovering from his injury from last season and came back to soon at end of season. Wilson did not impress against Ayr and looked really poor with ball at his feet. Defence is poor this season and can easily be got at. No right back signed and looks like a back 4 of Ferguson McGregor Fagan or McDonald Lockie. No pace in that back line at all.
ekok
Lots of positives today. Overall a draw just about right, both teams had chances to win, some excellent defending and poor finishing from both teams. Dumbarton stronger, but I thought we had better technical players, interesting match up. David Ferguson by far our best player, new lad Leitch did very well and David Wilson in goals very solid and confident. His winning penalty a peach, never going to miss. Lots of other 7/10 performances, early days, but here we go again, be there or thereabouts I would think.

Understatement of the year so far If you don’t win the league by a double figure margin I will be very surprised.

Deanburn Dave
Ekok is fooling nobody trying to talk down his teams chances. Guarantee he is already thinking of the playoffs.

Therein lies the problem though. Mick and his staff are now confirmed chokers when it comes to the play offs, pressure will be immense if they top the table again.

We have had a very successful Development Team from get go. In fact some years ago were invited to the now defunct SPFl Reserve League ( 2nd division) and more than held our own. We have always been able to bring through players and make top signings. The team last season was usual high standard. Then came the perfect storm, most of the still age eligible were tempted away to first team football elsewhere. Some Lowland and most to WOSFL. Would never stand in a players way and to be fair, big ask to break into our First Team. Plus the overall standard in the Lowland version of the Development League is pretty high. On top of that the lack of opportunity to play at Under 18 very limited across the board , a situation faced by most clubs. By it's nature teams coming up through a clubs pathway has peaks and troughs, we are no different. No point in asking players too young/ not really ready to move up to make up the numbers. Almost certain to have a negative effect on their development. Better to make difficult decision now, rather than probably having to fold. No easy answer, but hope this is a one year hiatus. Be great if Lowland League could help everyone by setting up Under 18 Development League to help bridge the gap.
