A tough first half tonight against a good linlithgow team. A well taken goal saw us one nil down.

I reckon if they had scored the penalty they'd have been out of sight but a good save from our keeper.

A game of two halves as they say and we upped our game.  Nathan Flanagan scoring a carbon copy of the goal he scored against accies at the weekend and a well timed run saw Scott Ferguson score on his debut. Feels like an important 3 points against a well disciplined team.

No mention of no..18 punching Dylan Paterson or you equalising when the Rose had a player off due to blood on his face after being elbowed.

The ref let EK away with far too much but a decent game in front of a good crowd

Agree another excellent 3 points. If Linlithgow had gone in 2-0 at HT  would have been fair . As well as saved penalty ( tbf very poor effort) had goal chalked off for offside( tight at best) and a top drawer save from Chris Truesdale, 1-0 kept EK in game.

Second half much better. As ever stuck to game plan, playing out from back. No matter opposition,  Including Accies on Saturday, we get out 90% + times and the odd scare absolutely worth the reward.  Problem tonight was losing ball in final third and getting caught on the break. Substitutions secured the game after another worldy from Flanny.

Sorry but big Allan MacKennzie up front will just not do. When Keir Samson and Scott Ferguson came on, threatened more immediately, including winner for Scott.

Last word about the goalie,  deserves a medal for playing through pain in last two games and tonight was the difference.

Took this in as a neutral. Two very good sides. EK looked a different proposition when they changed personnel up top.

Did look like EK should have been a man down for the incident with Paterson though. Ref was questionable but overall pretty even & could have went wither way.

East Kilbride now looking like they will pull ahead and win the league. Tranent will give it a go, but think they are short for going all the way.

Scottish cup tie in a couple of weeks will be a cracker!

Any reason why the stand behind the goals can't be opened, crowding around the pie stand to the point where you can't see what's going on in that corner?

They said was for officials only as no stewards !

...and that's still crazy money at Lowland League level. It's comparable to what a club like Morton are reported to pay most of their players to be full-time in the Championship:

Much as I don’t like EK’s throwing money at anything that moves model, I can’t believe it could be more than a handful of players that would be anywhere near £500 a week.

If it was the majority of the squad on that, the wage bill on players alone would be upwards of half a million, before other staff wages and costs are taken into account.

Very simple explanation.  We asked Linlithgow about expected numbers and seems far more came which is brilliant.  On top of that more than expected overall,  so yes main stand and standing area busier than expected,  again brilliant.

The issue is we are not allowed any movement across where players and officials come out  " the tunnel ". That means we need to open second turnstile to allow fans into the enclosure.  We did that on Saturday in game v Accies and all went well.

That wasn't done last night because it looked like main stand could cope. Hope we need 2 turnstiles for rest of season.

I wasn't complaining. Great to see a big crowd 👍.

Hi Fuzzy,  didn't take as a complaint.  Isn't it great we are talking about a great crowd at a great game in the great Lowland League   !

The only problem is the more this happens,  the closer the wagons will be circled in SPFL.
