Blackford laying right into her there, she goes back to her stock Scotland voted to stay in '14.

Indeed we did, however there wasn't the spectre of departing the EU at that point, in fact quite to the contrary, the EU membership was used by the Unionists as the reason to STAY in the Union.

This is why I could never be a politician, I'd just lose it with idiots like her and ask her if she was Fcukin stupid or what ??

So May is not going to accept "indicative votes" - is it possible for the opposition to propose a "meaningful vote", if not then surely there's got to be another VoNC?

So the situation is that Parliament won't currently accept May's deal, May doesn't have to and won't accept the outcome of any indicative vote by the house so May's great plan remains the same, count down the clock until April 12th, wait for enough anuses to prolapse on the Commons benches and pass her godforsaken deal.

Feared that there would be another three weeks of essentially 'nothing' happening, and it still looks that way at the moment...

She won't resign, won't be bound by indicative votes (even if a 2nd Ref emerged as a favourite), won't essentially remove no deal scenario, and probably won't hold another vote on her deal until as close to April 12th as possible,

Only outcome looks to be a longer extension of up to 2 years, and surely a GE later this year. Meanwhile the UK has to take part in the Euro elections in May.

Her deal will be bombed out again in the week of April 12th, so longer extension appears to be the only current route.

Tories apparently will not select anyone who votes against the government in a VoNC for the next election, so you'd be looking at a turkeys voting for Christmas scenario.

There is, of course, a path to winning a VoNC without any Tories at all, but the DUP are absolutely determined to stick with her despite the backstop scenario.

This is a country where Catholics, Jews and Muslims can't become prime minister, where the mainstream media and the 2 main parties conspire to sell us an idea that a 2 party state is the way forward because it leads to strong government, where FPTP is king, where the titular head of state is a monarch, where the 2nd chamber is unelected- the British idea of democracy is a little too fluid.

Really?

This is quite enlightening....official Cabinet meeting minutes show that the Tories are simply concerned about what is good for the Conservative party, and not the country.

We all knew that, but it's quite eye-opening to see it officially confirmed.

The only kind of vote that could say for sure that people want to stay in the EU is a vote to stay in the EU or leave, now that people are more aware of the consequences of it. There's literally no other vote that can give any answer to this.
Imagine actually bringing up a general election as some sort of proof. It'd prove f**k all.
A pro independence majority held Holyrood and No won the independence referendum that followed. That shoots the election idea right out of the water.
I've already went into detail as to why a second vote would be a fair thing to do, one of which I've alluded to in the first paragraph here.
Even if it's an "affront to democracy", which I don't believe it is, why should I give a f**k anyways? Should I just be like "things are going to go tits up, but folk voted for it without really knowing the consequences, so f**k it."?

As “affronts to democracy” go asking people to vote on something must rank pretty low
