Firstly, that won't be allowed. Secondly if it is the 295 people who voted against the 2nd referendum plus ones which abstained just won't rate it as a second option. Whole thing is a farce

That five word sentence shows just how ignorant you are of what is happening.  You would be far better keeping quiet.

Because it's a stitch up.
No one who voted against the Beckett plan is going to vote for it on Monday. The only reason to have the STV is so that it can be declared the winner without gaining a majority.

It won't happen

I don't think it will happen either.

Bercow letting them bring the same motions again is pushing it. Bringing it under a different voting system will cause a riot.

The SNP have potentially fucked it with their abstaining on the Customs Union amendment. There’s already people throwing the wreckers accusation at them.

They don't want to leave which is fair enough.

Being outside the EU would have a huge impact on any future Indyref.

Devil's advocate: If the motion is asking whether MPs support the UK being in a customs union with the EU, then those who support remain should by definition support this because remaining in the EU would entail being part of the customs union. The SNP do not want Brexit and rightly so, but I'd prefer them to at least entertain indicative votes which pull the house towards a softer version of Brexit.

The amendment would have meant requesting that the government add a customs union to the WA.

It still means Brexit.

Ian Blackford calling for a GE though. Good.

Bit confused that Blackford called for GE and then he (the media team) put out a statement calling for a 2nd EUref.

ETA. With the Clarke amendment it didn’t include the SM or a  ensure freedom of movement, its a decent starting point but not one that the SNP could ever really vote for as it was.

No, voting for Brexit in indicative votes would just be uber hypocritical.

There's a majority of MPs in favour of a non hard Brexit and unwilling to go against the referendum result. If Monday doesn't produce a viable alternative, May's deal will go through, Phase 2 allows space for everything between remain and a hard brexit, it's only party politics that has stopped it till now. Otherwise a General Election.

There are some within the SNP who oppose a 2nd referendum for the reason being that they believe it would set a dangerous precedent ahead of a future Yes vote to independence. Pete Wishart in particular has expressed concern that it a 2nd EU ref resulting in a remain vote could trigger a future UK government fucking Scotland over in secession negotiations and enforcing a confirmatory referendum that is then voted down by Scotland.
