A spirit of ecumenicalism based on a shared hatred of gay rights seems a bit far-fetched given Free Presbyterians still regard the pope as being the antichrist, but cranks will be cranks.
D'Jaffo
It’s a series of yes/no’s and you can vote in favour of as many of them as you like. Pulling the house towards a softer form of Brexit is absolutely the right move for the SNP (as well as voting in favour or referendum and revoke)You do realise that these votes are pretty much meaningless and aren’t binding in any way?
DeeTillEhDeh
BBC reporting that around 25 Tories who voted against last week are going to vote for now. Still leaves her short. If her deal does go through then every one of those spineless b*****ds who have switched should be fucking ashamed.

Sooky
DUP have put out a statement confirming they are still opposed to the deal. Shock.

DeeTillEhDeh
Labour shadow minister Melanie Onn resigns - won't vote for referendum. I just wish these Northern Labour MPs had spines and stood up to these gammon b*****ds in their constituencies. Self-preservation over common sense.
Guest Jedi
Quote Still don't quite get why the ERG gammons are so furious at her resigning to get the deal through, as her going is what they have wanted all along. Ultimately, whatever brings Scotland closer to Independence and getting back into the EU is my only real concern in the whole shambles. If it ends in her deal going through, and she is then replaced by Johnston or Mogg then surely, surely the case for Independence becomes overwhelming. It still has to move to a GE later in the year at which the SNP should be able to clean up by taking pretty much every seat. From that point, demand a Section 30 order and see what the reaction is of Johnston denies it, after Brexit. The tide is turning now.

I'm not quite sure there's any logic in saying that the SNP should support a soft Brexit as a means of opposing a hard Brexit. I don't believe in the "get people to vote the way you want by making them poorer and angrier" theory of politics.

Thing is they won't even be losing their seats, because they're all safe Labour areas. Maybe UKIP get 10%-15% of the vote at most but the Labour MPs in leave seats won't lose their seats.
Guest Bob Mahelp
Good riddance to the useless fucking Tory bitch. However, that leaves a power vacuum at the very top of UK politics which isn't going to be filled by a good-hearted, centrist Remainer. The person who is going to lead the UK into 2 years of delicate negotiations with the EU is going to be chosen by the Daily Express and 120K aging, furious bigots. The country just took a massive swing to the right. Dangerous times. P.S. Nobody should be under any illusions that all this chaos will sway any No-voting Scots towards independence. The Tories could appoint Hitler as their next leader and still 50% of Scottish voters would say 'but ah cannae stand thon Nicola Sturgeon'.

Granny Danger
So the DUP and half the ERG still won’t support May. What now? Jumping from Westminster Bridge? Self immolation? May debasing herself and still losing will define her premiership.

Probably means May will have to finally give up on the ERG and move to the soft brexit side, maybe whatever wins the Commons raffle, to get her amended deal through. Heads gone all over the place, and she fucks off on holiday. That would be glorious.
Ira Gaines
She said she'd resign if the deal went through, aye? See if it doesn't happen, will she just stay on? I'm pretty certain that she has the mentality to do just that.

Have some faith in Magic
Mogg and Johnson shown up for what they are, the Union means nothing to them. It's Tory privilege first and last.
