DeeTillEhDeh
52 > 48. Pretty simple. A majority want to leave. And which of the Heinz 57 varieties of Leave did they vote for?I wonder how many soft Brexiters are unhappy at how they've been ignored (or duped?) in this debate?
HTG
SNP puts forward a motion that parliament takes No Deal off the table. All Scottish Conservative MPs vote against the motion. Mundell apparently explains this by suggesting that the motion could lead to No Deal. These c***s really need to be in the sea.

I suspect that's a common view in the EU27.
Jacksgranda
21 months has been floated by the EU, as opposed to May's 3 month suggestion. Will probably compromise on 15/18 months.

It will be a very close vote and there will be some massive ‘heads gone’ moments which should be hilarious. Alternately the DUP and ERG will cave and support May’s deal and then be arguing about it for years to come.

I can't see the DUP supporting May's deal under any circumstances (much as I quite like it from a NI point of view if the alternative is No Deal). If anyone can negotiate an alternative to May's deal which will get through Parliament I'm all ears. Apart from getting a billion pounds for NI, which hasn't all been delivered yet, never mind spent, I think the DUP have played Brexit very badly.

I think they'll claim their stubborness has has brought them a great victory for some ambiguous tweek to the text and vote for the deal. They know full well that the backstop is very unlikely to kick in as it would be shite for the EU, and if it did it would only be for a short period. The UK would get all the benefits of being in the EU without freedom of movement and without paying a penny.

Aye, but the DUP are actively trying to kybosh a deal that businesses and farmers in NI approve of.

Unfortunately the Ulster Unionist Party seem to have the exact same policy on Brexit as the DUP, so probably won't be taking any votes off them. https://uup.org/news/5969/21/Ulster-Unionists-do-not-support-a-Second-Referendum-Swann#.XHfD8oj7Q2w
