Thousands of doctors trained in Europe 'may quit UK after Brexit'

UK not about to 'shut the door' on low-skilled EU migrants, says David Davis

Exactly what is the purpose of Brexit?  Anyone know?

If only someone had warned them about this entirely predictable adverse effect on the NHS?

Oh wait! They were warned

How do you suggest we renege on our share of pension commitments to EU civil servants over our 45 years of membership?

Seeing as we've paid in far more than we've taken out I think we can sleep easily on that one .

The Marshall Plan which was paid for by America, which was given on the understanding trade barriers would be reduced and of which the UK was the largest beneficiary?

I should hope we were the biggest beneficiary. That's only right!

With our rebate we've paid less than any other member per capita, on par with Norway who haven't even a seat at the table. America would be a bit annoyed by us getting compensated for the Marshall Plan, given that we didn't pay a penny, but benefited from it.

Maggie did a bloody good job getting us that rebate. Good for her!

It hasn't happened yet though , has it.

It MAY happen .......it may NOT happen......

Tbh you would assume that doctors would have a bit more intelligence about this issue and the idea of their precious feelings being compromised because of Brexit negotiations is a bit far fetched. They know damn well their status is secure and will be ratified during negotiations as will UK citizens abroad.

To suggest otherwise is disingenuous politicking of the most pretentious kind.

Yeah, let's do a Google search when the data shows otherwise. Interesting that the points aren't worth arguing over only after you initially argued the point but provided no evidence.

As for your HS2 point (not sure how you managed to remember about this particular part of the conversation!). It is pretty clear that the cancelling of the project would have an impact on firms that had already been awarded contracts but the extent to which this is the case would depend on the terms of the contracts and if the Government had to pay break fees. This could lead to the company booking exceptional profits and may lead to no overall change in their value.

On the other hand, plenty of private companies probably wish the government would cancel contracts (G4S and Serco - Asylum seekers, tagging contracts). Serco issued 4 profit warnings between 2013 & 2015 with £450 million of losses attributed to public sector work. Never mind, I am sure that the value of the company wasn't affected though as it is the winning of this work that is important and not the profitability. To use your own phrase, you assertions are "Utter Bollocks". You are of course right when you say that it isn't difficult, I am sure you will comprehend it eventually.

If you think the bolded stuff doesn't affect the stock market, then you'll need to read up a bit more on finance.

More good news!

BMW considering moving production of the new Mini from Oxford to Leipzig.

But, it's all good UK in control :1eyel

Again a post from you telling us what is being considered.....Not what is happening but what might happen.

Businesses are always considering a range of options as the business landscape changes and develops.

Your post basically is negative non-news designed to undermine this country's forthcoming  Brexit negotiations.

Why would someone so incredibly intelligent  do that ?

Do you not want the best possible outcome for the UK from the Brexit negotiations?

Aye?
Our negotiations are so finely balanced a post on a football forum might undermine them?
Best the mods shut this part of the forum before someone really fucks things up.
