Certainly not Remainers, and the hardcore Brexiteers are going off their tits. What would the incentive be for a MP to vote in favour of this? Not dropping off a cliff in March and time to fight for their own objectives without turning Kent into an instant lorry park. Paco
Not dropping off a cliff in March and time to fight for their own objectives without turning Kent into an instant lorry park.Don’t fall for the binary government line, it isn’t this or no deal. Other options are available.

Not that can be negotiated by March. It's effectively kicking the decision into the long grass, 2 years at the very least.

Shputnik
Is there any difference between no deal and a hard Brexit?

Brussels have said before it would only happen if there was an imminent General Election or another referendum, but it would be up to the 27 members.

renton
It's always been a case that it would be hard to get a Brexit deal through parliament. Too many factions for the electoral math to work - please one group, piss off another. However, May seems to have come up with a draft deal that literally no one will like.

Although in that case no doubt financial diplomatic pressure would be applied.

BUT, they may all think it is in their interests to vote for this half-in/half-out deal, as they could get somewhere from this. Brexiteers: go for this now, and by Dec 2020 dump NI in the Republic and walk off. Remainers: go for this now, and by Dec 2020 negotiate to rejoin the EU. It is not 'game up' for either of the extreme views yet!

Its probably her best shot at getting a majority for a deal. All the remain leaning tories will capitulate and vote for it, apart from clarke and soubry. She can count on the support of Labour leavers and probably most of the labour remainers in Leave voting constituencies. I suspect she will end up comfortably passing the bill.

I'm not convinced any Labour MP with a leave voting constituency will feel comfortable voting for something that the right wing press will jump all over as not being the Brexit people were promised. A version of Brexit that leaves Corbyn unable to pursue his radical agenda is probably not what he was hoping for either. And if it even looks close in the Tory ranks, Corbyn will be whipping his party against it to try and bring the government down.
