Granny Danger
If the vote is off then everything Theresa May says from this point forward is worthless.

Don't see what May has to bargain with though, other than that a hard Brexit would be nearly as bad for Eire as it would for us. It was reported she was on the phone to the Taoiseach yesterday. Thing is, if she does go back to Brussels to negotiate, how much time is there left for there to be further negotiation, and another vote to be held. Surely article 50 would need to be extended pretty soon. I can see the 48 letter threshold being reached soon. btb
Quote 11:32 The BBC’s political editor, Laura Kuenssberg, says she has been told by two cabinet sources that the vote is being pulled. As GD says above I don't see how this is any better for May's credibility than losing the vote. Edited December 10, 2018 by btb
Paco
EU have been fairly consistent that the deal isn’t being changed in any real way. Maybe some ridiculous fudge about the wording? Disappointed that the end game is pushed yet further towards the March deadline. Even in the unlikely event that the cabinet all agree the latest ‘deal’ is good, how long before we actually get to a new vote?
Savage Henry
So basically this is going to go one of three ways - assuming there's no more negotiation/rewording - a leadership challenge, no Brexit, or no deal Brexit?

For some reason a referendum takes a lot longer to arrange than a General Election, it would likely need an extension to Article 50 but that would bring the problem of the European Parliament election in May. P.S. Sorry, misread your post. Edited December 10, 2018 by welshbairn
Granny Danger
EU still saying no changes possible. This could end up really embarrassing for May.

Reading back it’s not exactly clear but I meant a vote in Parliament, rather than a referendum - there’s no way we get another referendum without this government falling. How long until May’s revised deal, if there is indeed one, comes to the house?

They could do it pretty quickly I'd have thought but I doubt before Christmas, seeing as it would have to get through the Lords as well.
