Cameron Gone.

There can't be many things worse than reverting to a lowly MP having previously been PM. Even more so after a spectacular fall from grace.

Correct decision, probably. Brown spent too much time dossing around* after 2010 and it'll probably be the same as Cameron.

*charity work, to be fair to him, but tis caused neglect of the job he was paid to do.

Directorships and advisory roles no doubt await him.

History will remember him best as the PM who did a passable job of an IRL re-enactment of a Charlie Brooker Black Mirror story though.

No, they'll remember him as the guy that having done the political equivalent of winning the Lottery, then went down the local casino & put the whole lot on red or black - and picked the wrong one like the utter choad he is.

The by-election will be fun though - full tilt far-right deathmatch as the ragged remains of the BNP, NF, BF & whatever Eddy Morrison's running in an alcoholic haze this week head on down to try & ruin the UKIP gloatfest over ridding the UK of PM Condomhead, inbetween fighting with one another in as many dive bars as possible. All that would be needed then would be for Class War to stand a candidate also (god knows where they'd get the ten signatures though) & it could be the electoral equivalent of the Jeremy Kyle Show.

Was sat around achieving little other than promising to match Labours spending then the financial markets collapsed and suddenly declared that Labours spending had caused "the crisis", obviously never watched The Big Short. The public bought it and he accidentally became PM on a prospectus of rapid cuts to public spending that strangled any hope of sustained growth. Then he suddenly decided to give Scotland a referendum on independence because the polling was so in his favour and actually nearly lost Scotland. This however led to the wipe out of Labours Scotland seats and suddenly he could say that people had to vote for him or a Lab\SNP coalition would run the country. Again the public bought it so he then decided to have another referendum.  This time on Europe because the polling.... well you can see where this is going.

If there is one phrase to sum up his career at the top "all tactics no strategy".

He did manage to turn his near disaster in Scotland into EVEL.

A constitutional fudge that will generate frictions along the Nationalist fault line for years to come? A great tactic but a terrible strategy.

He basically made the libs do anything for power then horsed millibands labour, lets not forget about that

I hate the c**t with all my being but during his time in charge both Labour and the Lib Dems have effectively been buried and you could strongly argue that actions he took lead to both. He has left the country in a far worse position than he left it but he has pretty much assured that the Tories will be the only strong party in England for the foreseeable future, he will be adored by the tories for that

Spot on, probably the weakest opposition the Tories have had in a long time. I can see why Labour are looking to change tact under Corbyn (if elected back in). Could be looking at a Tory government until at least 2025.

He, or his actions, didn't bury Lib-Dems and Labour.

They, quite effectively fucked themselves up.
