Well having forked out £50 in 4 days to see us getting pumped twice with little or no effort shown I was in no mood to go to Hamilton but he looked finished in Perth. I'm also already totally sick of him demanding the ball for every dead ball situation and making a total cock of it. In fairness for about 5 minutes against Thistle he played about 4 ten yard square passes that found their man so a definite improvement.

You have every sympathy from me. I was sick of him taking every set piece and making a total arse of it. Lazy journalists had him labelled as a "dead ball specialist", basically because he scored 3 free kicks in his time. What they didn't talk about were the other 10,000 free kicks he spanked over the bar/into the wall/right over everyone's head.

Yhere's a gnawing doubt in the back of my brain that McGhee will look at Dundee's 532 and see it as a case of "Challenge Accepted!" and go for some whacky and wildly inappropriate attempt to counter it but equally he's surely pragmatic enough to look at what was easily our most complete performance of the season and think "Let's do that". For all we were helped out by County's generous defending, their non-existent midfield and some shoddy goalkeeping it seems that the performance was much improved in a much broader sense, so that's something.

Against a team with a non-existent midfield, shoddy goalkeeping and generous defending Motherwell make a good performance. Funny that.

Very even game this. A win would be excellent, a draw will be accepted.

Same team as Saturday; another fighting performance. That's all i look for in a team.

Thank you.

He scored a few good free kicks for us though, so every now and then you'll get something. I remember ones vs Rangers and Odense.

Add St Mirren and you've probably covered the few good free kicks he scored for us.

Our keepers play it in regularly and concede, regularly.

Last time our keeper didn't wear pink (Kyle Letheren in our Championship winning season) we kept many a clean sheet. The season before, in which we did wear pink (Rab and Simonsen) we conceded weekly.

Ominous.
