Agnostic polling of policies returns favorable ratings of Democratic policies averaging 20%+ more favorable than Trump’s. When they don’t identify the party, most respondents like Democratic polices significantly more…it’s just that people vote party over policy, many can’t even identify their party’s policies correctly. Thank goodness that Democrats and Republicans are mired at about 30-35% and 35-40% of the electorate, and the independents effectively make the decision. At least they sometimes look at policy. I haven’t seen much in terms of cross-party support for Dem candidates…though haven’t done much searching tbh. I recall seeing a poll taken about a month ago that showed a third of Republican supporters had an appreciation for Shapiro. With that in mind, I can see no other obvious candidate for the Dems.
