Alloa is astro and there was agreement to allow them to go there. What was the issue with Maryhill, given they seem to be really struggling at the minute some extra rent income would do them nicely?
johnmc80
What was the issue with Maryhill, given they seem to be really struggling at the minute some extra rent income would do them nicely?Think one of the main issues was the pitch took a hammering with the two teams using it. Went through a spell when they couldnt get a game on it for months. Think there was a falling out between the 2 clubs aswell. Jerry will be able to fill you in better.

Think you pretty much summed it up John. 4 months without a home game and a falling out between the 2 club's. We did also try to get into Petershill. From what I'm told a deal between the 2 club's had been agreed until Tom Johnston (he hates us) stuck his neb in and vetoed the whole move.

Isn't it the case the Senior league team would get priority regarding a Saturday home game? Petershill would need to have moved to a Friday night. Do BSC play on a Friday night to accomadate Alloa?

You are correct in as far as the senior club gets priority, however most of the time teams play on a Saturday. The LL fixtures are announced after the SPFL, that allows them to schedule our fixtures together with East Stirlingshire, Spartans, Cumbernauld Colts and Stirling Uni who all groundshare with SPFL club's. The situation with Peterhill was slightly different in that the West juniors tend announce their fixtures as the season progresses making it easy enough to schedule round our fixtures.
Tutankhamen
Btw you better hide this from Hillonearth, he wasn't too pleased with the BSC take on the Maryhill episode.

Ancient history mate and as we all know HistoryIsOverrated. Whilst we’re on that subject though I’m delighted Maryhill have found there way out of the problems they were having. It’s a tough time for a lot of clubs at the moment.

Chap leaves Maryhill and goes to Cambuslang who were all over the place. According to the Junior forum the Camby keys were getting handed into Hampden. Maryhill then seem to be left with nothing committee wise. Thankfully it seems to be sorted now.

craigkillie
Have wondered if BSC will try to groundshare with Queen's Park at Lesser Hampden once the renovations are finished?Might make sense for both clubs.

Last time I was by there they hadn't started.
