ICTChris
I'd like to see a topical web series of Shandon Par and throbber going for drinks in each others favoured establishments. Shandon could take throbber to the Canny Man one night and then the next it'd be the Foot of the Walk. They could wear the clothing appropriate for each venue, so in Morningside thorbber could wear Paul Nuttal-style tweed, whereas for the FotW Shandon would get the head-to-toe Lonsdale and Slazenger look that throbber has perfected.

tongue_tied_danny
I may as well ask this here instead of starting a new thread. I'll have a couple of hours to kill in Edinburgh one afternoon later this week. Can anyone recommend a decent place for some scran? I'll be on my jack so nothing too formal and it needs to be within reasonable walking distance of Waverley. I'm not interested in any chain type places. Preferably it would be something unusual. By that, I mean something that isn't typical pub grub.

I'd try either The Dogs on Hannover Streethttp://www.thedogsonline.co.uk/our-menu/Or Treacle on Broughton Street http://www.treacleedinburgh.co.uk/downloads/treacle-food-menu-2016.pdf
tongue_tied_danny
Cheers Bobby. I like the look of Treacle.
Boostin' Kev
Hanover and Broughton St in general both have a pretty wide selection of places to eat, you could walk down one of them and see what you fancy. Broughton probably the better of the two for daytime food/pint.

Shandon Par
I think there's a cultured wee soul lurking within throbber. I could take him for lunch and a glass of wine at the Gallery of Modern art.

Bully Wee Villa
He's holding it, I wouldn't say he's reading it. He probably thought it was a Wetherspoons menu.

Well I say that, I've just kidnapped a gibbon from the zoo and dressed it up in clothes that I paid an urchin to steal from Sports Direct. I've given it a few cheap ciders and it keeps grabbing women and hooting, so I think it's got the throbber-experience down to a t.

The Woolshed
Any decent pubs in haymarket that would have sky sports on tomorrow and suitable for 15-20 people?
git-intae-thum
^^^^^ In addition to the above, can anyone recommend decent boozers between Haymarket station and Murrayfield. Got a works doo in the function suite at the home of the posh egg chasers and want to arrive suitably refreshed.
