If Dundee were just going to go for the "hire a Dundee icon" approach then they honestly should have just went for Jocky. 

A very, very strange appointment. Perhaps the biggest jobs for the boys you're ever likely to see. He was a total car crash as a coach at the Pars but he did seem like a nice guy...if that's any consolation.

Being binned in favour of Neil McCann means Paul Hartley can never, ever be spoken about in the same breath as Alex Neil ever again, right?

Dundee Legend? really? :blink:


He did give me a couple of my favourite ever celebrations tbf. Legend might be pushing it but he's definitely seen as a big hero at Dens.

Scored the goal that took them to the '95 League Cup final and came out of retirement for the 'Deefiant' run.

ETA: In fact, he scored the goals that took them to two cup finals.
