Other than that though, the running joke was that he spent so much time on our fabled warm up bikes as an unused sub, he was actually powering the floodlights.

I think Mooy pretty much admits himself though that he wasn't ready for his first go at British football (think we signed him from Bolton where he'd also failed to live up to his initial potential) and that he needed to go back to Australia to get his head together and mature a bit. You could see he was a player when he was at us, but it just never worked out. Bahoken though looked like he'd never seen a football before. Fair play to him.

Mahrez and Bahoken, struggle to think of many other Scottish clubs who'll have that calibre of "reject". Of course, he won't be playing his way into Cameroon world cup squads as they didn't qualify. Stupid me!
Doctor Sanchez
Sounds like we rode our luck today, but the up and the down of it is a good 3 points. Need to keep this up till the big game on the 29th. Then do to United what they did to us last time...

We made them look like a pub team that day.
Doctor Sanchez
Agreed. But push comes to shove I'd be quite happy to ride our luck and scab a lucky victory if we finished the year top of the league. All about getting back up a league. Ideally without being part of the circus of the play offs.
billyg
Quite a few rumours flying about yesterday about activity in the transfer window . Jordan Kilpatrick and Ross Stewart (forward) out on loan , Hilson released , McCart back to Celtic, Liam Henderson in on loan as part of the Morgan summer transfer deal , English holding midfielder in ex Crewe , and Rory Loy in !
sergie's no1 fan
Want 1 of our 4? We are swimming in quality forwards. Was going back for some Reilly posts but found this wee gem.

Depending on who the holding midfielder is, I'd class that as very decent business.
sergie's no1 fan
Gavin Reilly as a lone striker? Outstanding. 17 goals before Christmas? Yes, he really is outstanding [emoji16].

Think if he was to leave on a free, a category 1 club would still have to pay a significant enough development fee but nothing near his true value. I'd imagine, it's probably about £300k-£400k and we'll have him back for the remainder of the season. On open all mics yesterday it was suggested that he'd be loaned back for rest of season and possibly next season as well

How many loans can we have if Liam Smith is already here for the season? If Morgan goes to Celtic and returns as part of that deal and we also get Henderson then McCart would have to go back to make space for Loy.

McCarts loan ends on 26th of December I believe so he's going back regardless.

Liam Smith can be recalled by Hearts during the transfer window if they want him back for the remainder of the season. That's why he wasn't allowed to play in the Scottish cup, in case he was cup tied.
