Agreed.........however, Rod Petrie said at the Hibs AGM last year that it was "nowhere near 33%" and oor rod is not known for joking where cash is concerned ! It will all come out in both teams accounts next time.

So assuming we haven't completely undervalued McGinn (Rodders would never stand for that tbh) St Mirren will probably be looking at something between 400-600k.

The only reason it was peanuts was due to the large sell on clause of 33%

If it wasn't for our expert coaching, you wouldn't have had such gems as McGinn, Mallan and McGregor. So hurry up and send our 53% over.

On a serious note, our chairman at the time stated categorically that it's 33%. Hibs' chief exec/chairman disputes that. I'm believing our former chairman, although we'll likely never know the exact truth due to the "undisclosed" nature of many fees these days.
Lebowski
Do you know how much Hibs paid us ? The only reason it was peanuts was due to the large sell on clause of 33% The only reason it was peanuts was because you were getting f**k all when he moved to America. That's not the strongest negotiating position tbh.
Zing.
Celtc fans rapidly throwing their toys out the pram now. Suggesting they should ask us for £4m to get Scott Allan has been a highlight. They don’t like not getting their own way (even though McGinn to Villa isn’t even confirmed yet!). Edit: McGinn having a medical at Aston Villa according to STV. Edited August 8, 2018 by Zing.
buddie06smfc
The only reason it was peanuts was because you were getting f**k all when he moved to America. That's not the strongest negotiating position tbh. The American move was never happening. It would’ve gone to a tribunal. We had a good negotiating point as no club wants it to go to a tribunal especially when you consider he was at saints from an early age. Now we look to be getting £120k topped up by another £1m+ pretty good negotiation by the looks of it.
sergie's no1 fan
The sell on percentage should a nice round number that reflects our orgasms shared at Easter Road after the 1-1 draw. 69% sounds about right [emoji8].
Wee-Bey
Tfw you tell Celtic to ram their lowball offers and only have to give St Mirren a bag of Mitre Deltas and a crate of Irn Bru as a sell on when you punt your biggest asset.
