I get why Celtic asked for the match to be moved, it would give them a 9 day break after they come to Ibrox following a busy December, but surely if one club are opposed to the switch then it shouldn’t be accommodated?

It’s pretty farcical but not wholly unsurprising that the SPFL have catered to Celtic’s request without even informing or gaining agreement from Hibs.

Its not that farcical considering they have history for it.

Only other example is when Rangers v Livingston was postponed. Rangers wanted to play it the next day, Livingston didn't agree, but the SPFL announced it was getting played when Rangers wanted anyway.

A real headscratcher trying to figure out why Celtic/Rangers get what they want, while Hibs/Livingston get ignored and forced to play.

That was a postponed game that we asked to play on the Sunday and Livi wanted to play on the Monday. The Monday wasn't possible because we were playing Braga midweek.

Not really the same is it.

PS: Non-OF clubs have the power to eliminate any perceived OF bias in the SPFL if they wanted to. They outvote them 40-2, after all.

OF club wants to play on a date.

Small club doesn't want to play on a date.

SPFL announce game is being played on date OF club wanted.

Aye, there's zero similarity.

There are lots of completely different things that are the same when you remove the context.

Livi made a request that wasn't possible to accommodate.

As @G51 has kindly pointed out, you have conveniently ignored the context behind the SPFL’s decision to play the game on the Sunday. Additionally, Livingston made no claim that the SPFL decided to take that decision without consulting them beforehand.

Yet another example today (out a lot) of whataboutery dragging Rangers into something that doesn’t involve them.
