Junior football, what is the future?

Basically they will cherry pick who they want from the juniors and place them where ever they want to, no appeals or anything. Is there a way to get a better position? Perhaps promises already made? who knows.

Flying in the face of all the available evidence there then.

Don't forget there has already been a precedent set due to all the ex-Juniors who have joined and continue to join the EoS - good luck pointing out one single team that has been refused entry to date with the exception of Syngenta who got picked up by the East Juniors.

Any reason why the process should be any different in the West?

"The EoS will will cherry pick clubs"     "The EoS will only accept 6 applicants"

It's the same auld shite dusted down from 2 years ago, these people aren't fit to run a bath let alone a league.

No. And it's not what they've said at all.

They can't say what leagues will look like, because there's an unknown number of clubs that will join.

They've already said acceptance will be based on the EOS ground criteria. Which every West Region can meet if they apply, since they wouldn't be in the juniors in the first place.

Once the members are in, then they will have a say in what the league format will look like.

Perhaps might be helpful to see/get that in writing?

It is in writing it says it will be based on eosfl ground criteria and leagues will be sorted out once they know how many teams their will be. If they were only going to have x amount of teams they would have said we will have a 16 team league.

It's funny everything that is being done for wosfl was done for eosfl so their is a precident set and yet you want writing yet you are happy to believe the grade who have lied and had done deal and still not got themselves in. You are either at the wind up or just thick

I've genuinely had a right good giggle at this, seriously.
You must be in the know ehh or a mystical crystal ball.
This sounds like sour grape or its ma baw so if I'm no playing, no one is

Auchinleck Talbot would be welcomed with open arms im sure but I don't think they will go this year but they will realise that too many have left and will join a year or two later but if so then they should go in at tier 8 as it SHOULD BE first come, first served.

Musselburgh Windsor & Glenrothes Strollers (both youth teams) have also been rejected on ground criteria. Seem to re-call one of them didn't even turn up to a meeting to present their case.

If thats what you consider questions and suggestions? usual from yourself no less.

It's just the usual misinformation pish.  You know it's not true, but you choose to post it in order to mislead.  It's pathetic really.

Its available on the websites of the LL, EoS and SoS.

In line with the previous statements and timetable, the process surrounding the making of a formal application to join the Pyramid via the new West of Scotland Football League (WoSFL) proposed by the Scottish Lowland Football League (SLFL), East of Scotland Football League (EoSFL) and now also the South of Scotland Football League (SoSFL) is below.

To date 51 expressions of interest have been received from various grades of football. Those Clubs will now be invited to an information meeting on Thursday 12 March to hear in more detail what the application process will look like. This will include the minimum qualification standards (including the ground criteria based on the EoSFL model), the governance arrangements, the administration support available, the options for the structure of the new league and the completion of the form itself. The application forms will be sent to the 51 Clubs along with the invitation to the meeting, and will also be made available to any other Club on request. The completed forms will be treated in strictest confidence. Clubs are encouraged to send any questions they have to geo_fraser@hotmail.co.uk by Wednesday 11 March so the meeting can be as informative as possible. Questions on the night will also be encouraged. The idea is to give the Clubs as much information as possible to inform their decision-making process. Due to numbers expected, each Club will be invited to send one registered official to the meeting.

As previously stated, the deadline for completion for all of the forms is Tuesday 31 March. The next again step will be to hold a further meeting for all Clubs whose application has been accepted. That meeting will cover in more detail what the set-up of the new League will look like (depending on the number of applications received and accepted) and also the plans to create an administration for the League. That meeting will be arranged for April.

Issued:

George Fraser (Chairperson SLFL), John Greenhorn (Chairperson EoSFL), Colin Holden (President SoSFL)

The ground criteria were posted on here over the weekend. They're not overly onerous.

As for the cherrypicking of clubs, I'll repeat...is there any substantial reason you think things will be any different in the West than they have been up till now in the East?

Well you are obviously loaded if you consider floodlights, gold plated toilets and various other criteria that are going to cost clubs over £150k to be not onerous!

Spoiler

None of those things are actual criteria btw if anyone is still stupid enough to be swallowing those lines.
