vikingTON Posted June 30, 2017 Share Posted June 30, 2017 Sunderland are a basket case; Grayson probably reckons that he's had and been sacked from enough jobs already that simply 'managing a big team' for a while will be better for his long-term career prospects than 'another manager sacked by Sunderland' going on his CV. In his circumstances it's a free hit; whereas manager with less experience in England (including McInnes) would risk being written off as a dud if they failed there. This could mean around 300 live games, obviously this would mean a lot fewer 3pm Saturday kick offs. Talking like they'll have weekend/midweek packages, simulcast packages (like the European coverage where there will be several games available at the same time across different channels/red button), the possibility of a free-to-air live package and a highlights package for 9pmish on a Saturday.
