HibeeJibee
For several years the record LL victory was Spartans 11-2 Selkirk (which remains the record home victory and most goals scored), set in the inaugural campaign. Last season that was equalled by Gala Fairydean Rovers 1-10 East Stirlingshire. Broken tonight by Hawick Royal Albert 0-10 Selkirk. Made all the more remarkable given Selkirk actually finished second-bottom, behind Hawick, 3 months ago. Congratulations to Selkirk... commiserations to Hawick. EDIT: Interestingly not the record victory in Scotland tonight, though, as LTHV obliterated Burntisland Shipyard 13-0 in the EOS Qualifying League's Section A. Currahee!
E O S isn't the Lowland league though.

Not sure how you find it remarkable HJ Selkirk are a decent side and I think everyone that follows the LL knows there's a few pennies behind them.... Good luck to them they could well break into the top 4 this season.
edinabear
Not sure what is going on with Hawick. These results do not reflect well on the league
Nimmo's Notes
Selkirk had one of the biggest budgets in the league last season too.
Baxter's Nutmeg
Things looking pretty bleak for Hawick, even this early. Their issue will be attracting players to play for them after 2 drubbings.

colinmc
Selkirk will do better this year but they will get nowhere near top 4. Selkirk always start off great but die after about 9 or 10 games. They have a decent team but wait until they go to Dalbeattie in December etc..
HibeeJibee
Make that 38 after LTHV 10-2 Tweedmouth in EQL section today. Weirdly enough Burntisland actually bounced back off Wednesday's 13-0 drubbing to beat HW Uni 2-1 - and indeed qualified. Hawick would also have won had they not conceded twice in the final minutes. It's a funny old game. Edited August 5, 2017 by HibeeJibee

HibeeJibee
... then make it 41 with Tweedmouth 1-11 LTHV in the EOS League yesterday. It's been a tough few months for the Englishers against the Saughton strongmen. Since May they have gone down to LTHV by scores of 0-11 10-2 and now 1-11. Thankfully they've now some respite - the return isn't until December 16th. Weirdly they drew the previous meeting, at Saughton last November, 1-1.
