Anyway, back to Saturday. Biggest test for us so far.. Ayr have goals in them and our defence have a few brain fart moments in them. I trust our forwards to get the job done though.

2-1 Rovers

Ayr will be lucky to stay with 11 men on the park at this rate.

Davo was outstanding

Correct, his best game in I have no idea how long, he was brilliant today.

League is over already, no way Ayr can win it with that lad in goals.

Davo was excellent  today not a great deal between the teams but is great to get the win. Is that ayrs first choice keeper? He's absolutely gash!

He's been very inconsistent this season. He's had one or two good moments with one or two mistakes.

He's young though so with a bit of patience and time he'll get better.

Not much between the two teams today imo. Both defences are pretty crap and with good attackers on both sides the goals will come for either side this season.

Thought we were far the better team in the first half but the second half was a bit more even. Just a bit of a shame in the way we lost today with 2 mistakes coming from Hart which will most likely knock his confidence.

Title far from lost and we'll play a lot worse this season while getting wins.

Also, massive shout out to Vaughan who when isn't scoring to fun at one end is back defending at the other. He bailed us out right at the death, when Robertson miscontrolled a high ball in the box and it looked like Ayr were going to get a free shot in.

Fairly close game though, with not a lot between the two sides. Ayr will keep pace with us and every point will be a prisoner. No margin for error.

Hope Bene is okay.. Losing him for a large chunk of the season will be disastrous.

Ayr are filled with a bunch of hatchet men.

Shankland should have walked before his goal. He didn't though so fair enough then his goal celebration in this day is a yellow card so he should have walked then. I wonder how he's feeling now. Absolute Walloper!

The boy that got sent off though should have been sent off with his challenge on Spence. As clear a red as you'll ever see.

Not the best of performances today but got the 3 points in the end. Vaughan, Barr and Robertson were outstanding. Davo had his first decent game of the season. Zanatta looked useful. Not too sure about Herron though. Didn't do much wrong, I just don't think he's anywhere near as good as Callachan for us, but that is his first game though, so it might just be about getting him match-fit.

Anyway, a good 3 points and on to Hampden next week!

No one mentioned the absolute dirty b*****dness of these tinks? Boy nearly kicked the tits off Spence on the line and the ref (who is clearly an imposter) would have needed an app to log all their bookings. Hope the bridge traffic is bad and gives them all time to think about their behaviour. Bloody gang.
