This is very strange story.

The fact Salmond himself has felt he had to act and therefore bring it into the public domain is interesting.

Yeah that's the thing, nae doubt the MSM would go full on Michelle Thomson on it, guilty until proven innocent but even the reaction is just daft. Seems a lot of political semantics. See how it comes out in the wash.

Difference here folks is that it’s the Party that has proceeded (years after the event).

Politically, words won’t describe how damaging this is for both.

Taking politics away, just hope this is not true.

No its not. Its the permanent secretaries office.  He has lodged a complaint against the senior civil servant and her handling of the matter.

It really does come across as though the only reason they've got this story is because Eck's made it public. Seems like nobody else is willing to talk about it at all.

Wonder what happened in December 2013 that triggered this apparent rampage.

Seems odd that the DR is claiming to have known about it for some time yet they could have made the claims during the height of the #metoo movement and probably have done more damage.  He must be pretty sure of an exoneration by his statement.

The BBC article on it is as you would expect, his statement says he refutes all the allegations, some are ridiculous, the BBC's quote is "on the allegations", Salmond says some are ridiculous.

He came across as a bit of a creep during the indyref with his habit of hugging women, cheek to cheek in selfies but I imagine the accusations may be stronger.

Like a few famous people that have been accused, I hope it isn't true and like all accused he is innocent until proven guilty, if he is guilty, then he deserves everything he gets.

Hmm it is strange but Clegg who is breaking this in the record claims Salmond is going public after being approached by him. And that he's "finally brought this process to light."

As it stands you have to be deeply sceptical.

The fact Salmond has brought it to attention himself in full knowledge it may harm the SG in the press is revealing.

Why has nothing been said before.?

Most importantly if the police were previously informed, they will no doubt have thoroughly investigated..what was the outcome?

Something is not right.
