Hamilton v Kilmarnock

Recommended Posts

‘Twas  two nights after Christmas and all over the park

The difference in class was all too stark

Imrie chasing shadows and Crawford made to look silly

By the blue and white juggernaut known as the Killie

Canning on the touch line looking so serious

At the Killie midfield looking imperious

Jamie McDonald in goals, with nothing to do

Behind the defence that’s big white and blue

Brophy and Boydie playing up front

Making that big Skondras look like a c^^t

Get into Woods ,Devlin , Docherty , Bings

And don’t forget to kick Templeton right in the gings

And a merry Christmas to all the Hamilton fans in that stand

Even though there’s no enough to form a boy band

:)

Our system of playing 1 up top wasn't playing to Brophy's strengths, whenever he got game time he never quite lived up to expectations, think he also had a strained relationship with Canzo, I wish the lad well but I think you may lose your belief in him as most of us did, if he is played in a 2 up top he may become a prolific goal scorer with you, that was never a serious option with us.
Brophy & Boyd are developing a nice we partnership upfront, Steve Clarke seems to have inspired Brophy to the find another level. He's taken his chance and grabbed it with both hands so far. Long may it continue.

The partnership looks promising, the negative to it is if Boyd gets injured that leaves you not 1 but 2 strikers light, I know you will argue replacing Boyd with Erwin will be a seamless transition but it will take a while for that pairing to form an understanding,Brophy is from my limited informed sources quite a complex person and is quite reliant on his confidence being high to perform at a good level, he apparently also has a very negative attitude if he feels he is being dealt a harsh hand.

I wish the lad well, but as with a lot of youngsters who receive recognition at a young age, a big percentage of them end up becoming their own worst enemies by adopting a Harry big shot persona instead of working hard to maximise their potential.

Could do with Killie pumping Accies here just to mitigate our own pish form and keep the bottom of the league interesting.

Just an aside, the wolf man patter is a bit cringey is it no?

Have a lovely Christmas a'body.

Agreed it’s cringey ....but so is writing a word  that is associated with the Broons and Oor Wullie

'Twas twa days after Christmas when killie came to town,

accies won quite easily their fans left with a frown.

Steve Clarke they say the manager of our dreams,

I really wish Santa brought me headphones to silence all their screams.

I wish these claims bore relevance to the game on Wednesday night,

Alas iv woken from my dream with a startle and a fright.

PS seasons greetings to all.

To be quite frank, I almost cringed myself into a coma reading that.

Not so fast. Our record at NDP over the years is not that good.

We are unbeaten in the last 9 visits, winning 4 out of the last 5.

Well done Kenny boy, just proves we're better at poetry than them as well.

I've not been to  NDP before and I'm taking a family member with me who has walking difficulty. Can anyone recommend the best drop of point nearest the away stand?

Morrisons car park is directly next to the "stadium" and it is probably the shortest walk in the SPFL to the turnstyles at literally 50 yards. You have easily chosen the best game to attend for a relative who has walking problems.

PS you related to Norman Kowalski from Kilwinning?

Thanks for that killiemilan that's good news.

No relation to Norman tho,  when I joined P&B  me and the missus had just been watching "Grand Torino" and she said that I was as crabbit as  the Clint Eastwood character in the film "Walt kowalski"
