This is what they responded with; Quote We were instructed by Dumbarton that free U12 tickets had to be purchased from them on the day. We were happy to deal with the free children's tickets on our end but were not given the option to do so.

Regardless of how long we've known and they've advertised the prices. Regardless of if it's 'only 2 pounds more, ffs' Regardless of if it's apparently 'a hell of a mess to get yourselves into over 2 quid' None of this deflects from the fact that your club are a bunch of robbing charlatans and should be ashamed of the pricing structure they've set out. See you Saturday. You could always just boycott the game, stick the middle finger up to our club and wait for the prices to drop at the next game. Or, continue to pay what you deem is unacceptable for this level of football, fill our clubs coffers and then complain that we "robbed" you. The latter is seemingly the undoubted choice of St Mirren FC fans.
BallochSonsFan
The price is scandalous for this level and I'm sure you know that. No other statement required. The price is the price. If £22 to watch Dumbarton v St Mirren is a scandal then would £20 to watch St Mirren v Dumbarton be significantly less so?It's a quid to park at our ground. It's up to a fiver to park at some grounds. Equally scandalous? What makes £20 to watch Championship football acceptable but £22 a scandal? Same teams. Different ground. Suddenly a scandal?Football in Scotland is too expensive at Championship and Premiership level. Unfortunately player wage demands are such that clubs need to charge what they charge because revenue in football is limited. In an ideal world we'd have cheaper tickets subsided by a better tv deal and better sponsorship. Unfortunately we don't live in Germany and this isn't the Bundesliga.

Ira Gaines
22 quid IS a steep price, but they're not robbing anyone. That'd imply that they're forcing people to spend their money. They're not. It's the choice of the customer to say "nah, not having that" and not go. If you don't like getting "robbed", then don't get robbed. It's that fucking simple. pleslie99
It may be expensive for this level but go complain and tweet about other clubs rather than just us. Simple solution is if you don't want to pay don't come. Thing is all you want to do is moan about it but you'll still pay it. What do you think would happen if we kept it as pay at the gate and left the prices at £20. Poor Div and his kids would maybe not get in and sitting together! Imagine the carnage

We bumped our gums about the £22 last time out but in Dumbarton's defence that price is published well in advance as they choose to categorise their games. This issue is all about how they have handled the SPFL free tickets for under-12s promotion.

P475
It's simple. If away fans going to Dumbarton want to see their club pick up their three points, they'll have to pay a levy on the normal asking price
Demented Zebra
I don' blame Dumbarton I blame the authorities runnng the game the price should be the same at every game regardless. As for under 12's they should be free at every ground to encourage future supporters in my day it was a lift over.

Imagine the carnage DON'T LIKE IT, FUCK OFF seems to be the common response from the Sons fans. All because their own club is shitting on a promotion they should be shouting from the rooftops about, trying to attract local fans of Premiership clubs to come along and see Dumbarton during the winter break. Not a fucking peep either on the website or on social media. It's almost as if they don't want folk to come. It's a masterclass in how not to market our game. Well we will fill the away section of the ground regardless. There's enough of a demand hence the all ticket affair and therefore the £22 price tag. So yes if you don't like it as you say 'f**k off' plenty home fans do that exact thing every week at £20, me included. We've tried to attract locals and they aren't interested, we could charge £5 and it still wouldn't sell out our home end.
