Fantastic day, helped by a great performance from Berwick. Stewart and Phillips give the back four a much more solid look, both have the ability to get forward and Phillips work for the opening goal was superb.  Thought Okane and Petkov dominated the middle of the pitch in difficult conditions. See lead the line well and glad to see him getting his first goal. Hamilton did well Playing wider than normal. Thomo and Lavery got through much more work than of late and that goal was fucking stunning. We looked a very well organised unit yesterday and that is down to the coaching staff. With the addition of See and Hamilton there now looks like we have goals in the team. Enjoyed the positive attitude in the away end with the ultras in fine voice. We may just have turned a massive corner and the future looks bright if we can just halt the losses on the balance sheet. A nice cup draw next season would be  good.

Not quite as good as that - we were 2-0 up at half time against the wind - Colin McGlashan with both.  Then in second half McGlashan go hat trick, Kenny Ward scored and Young scored an own goal when Arbroath keeper's punch out of a cross saw the ball just go up in the air when it came down Young tried to punt it clear and again it went up in the air and blew back over everyone's head into the net.  The other good game at Arbroath was the 3-0 win when Mark Yardley was playing.  Don't think Arbroath got past halfway in the second half and that was the one where Barry McMahon was sheltering behind another player at half way for the second half and almost ended up with hypothermia.

I wish we had Ward and McGlashan now. We would easily survive with them in the team.

Don’t get too excited about how solid you were at the back, you were up against 1 of the worst attacking teams in the history of Scottish football.

Deserved win for Berwick who adapted far better to the foul conditions. The penalty was a real lifeline and I thought we might get something out of it but the second goal was decisive. Great finish from Thomson but it was a direct result of a horribly misplaced pass from Rumsby. Great teasing cross for the third but Mullen was standing right in front of Thomson and failed to stop him getting  the cross in. Simple unforced errors. Thomson lucky to escape a second yellow for twice kicking the ball away Berwick looked a much improved side on that showing.
