The Aberdeen Mega-Hyper New Stadium Thread

Utd.  Seven thousand fans for a Scottish cup quarter final.  Utterly shameful.  Total joke of a club it's undeniable.

I know united demise is difficult but try and not compensate by being angry with us.

We’re fond of you really, it was nice seeing you a few weeks ago even though you’re absolutely murder.

Chin up fella.

I'm not a big utd fan, just adopted a local team.  But their crowds proportionally are much better than yours.

Why are Aberdeen's crowds so shit?  Personally I think it's cause aberdonians are stingy b*****ds.

I can't be bothered looking up planning procedures. does "not being called in" mean that Kingsford goes ahead?

For the most part yes however Aberdeen FC still need to resolve the outstanding objection from Aberdeenshire Council and there remains the potential for the protest group to challenge the decision in the courts.

Aberdeenshire Council's position:

Aberdeenshire Council’s Head of Planning and Building Standards, Robert Gray, said: “Aberdeenshire Council is disappointed to note the decision of Scottish Ministers not to intervene in the determination of the application for the new stadium and community facilities at Kingsford, Aberdeen.

“We were of the view that the application, which is within Aberdeen City but will lie on the boundary between the two Council areas, was unacceptable and should have been refused. However, as Scottish Ministers have now indicated that Aberdeen City Council can proceed to determine the application, we will seek to be involved to get the best possible outcome for the area.

“One of the main priorities in this process has been to protect the residents and amenity of Westhill from the development and, in particular, to ensure that options were fully considered to effectively control parking outside the stadium grounds and allow the safe crossing of the A944 between the stadium and Arnhall Business Park.

“The position of Scottish Ministers and decision taken by Aberdeen City Council leaves a number of unanswered questions about these matters which have not been fully considered, meaning they could be open to challenge or run the risk of not being delivered.
“We are already in discussion with colleagues at Aberdeen City Council in an attempt to resolve these points and are similarly happy to have that discussion with the applicant."

It may get worse for them as it may have been the case that they have been getting freedom of information using  a pseudonym.

Can understand using a pseudonym to media if they are getting online abuse but if they used it to get freedom of information then what has they thinking as that could get them into legal trouble.

How could they get into legal trouble from using a fake name? FOISA and the EIRs do cover offences but they almost exclusively relate to the public authority side and how they must not delete data, or refuse to comply with the request.

If they did provide a pseudonym the only thing that could have happened would be that the public authority in question would not be duty bound to reply to the request or deal with any appeal that the  requester may lodge.

So can I, their problem is they don't understand (not being originally from here) that Westhill, and the Ward 13 / AB32 area are very small, people know each other, hiding behind a pseudonym doesn't work when everyone already knows who you are, as they even say themselves in their laughable statement, they hosted small public meetings, their faces were known, and yet not a single thing has happened to them, but of course it was never going to, it was another scare tactic to get/keep the OAPs on their side. Big bad fitba hooligans.

It's funny that "Angus Jamieson" was "from Skene", there's a troll on this topic also "from Skene"
