MSU
I'm sure I've mentioned this already, but my favorite line in Frasier was in the episode where Niles discovers that Maris has been having an affair with her German fencing instructor. During the episode we discover that Marta speaks Spanish and German but not English, and Frasier speaks English and Spanish but not German. Both of them double translate for Niles and the instructor in three languages until we get to this point: [Niles accuses Gunnar in English, which Frasier translates into Spanish for Marta, so she can tell Gunnar in German] Gunnar: Schweinhund! Niles: Alright, fine! You want to challenge me? En garde! Frasier: Oh, yes, Niles! That's just what we need: a fourth language. Simply perfect.

Gunnar: Entschuldige Dich sofort! Ich habe nicht Deine Schuhe gestohlen! Niles: [meekly, to Frasier] Is he giving up? Marta: Piedme perdon! Yo no te robo sus zapatos! Frasier: He says he wants you to apologize. He didn't steal... your shoes.

MSU
As we speak, hordes of viral Visigoths are hurling themselves over the battlements of my immune system, laying waste to my…Oh, dear God, you see how weak I am? I can’t even finish a simple Visigoth metaphor.
Gaz FFC
Caught a couple of episodes of this recently. Shame on me for forgetting how funny this show was. I was up at 8 the other morning howling with laughter at Niles being seasick in the lift Also this 1 a few weeks ago An absolute gem of a show
BFTD
Sorting through some old boxes of stuff and discovered an almost-complete set of Frasier DVDs that I'd forgotten about, so I'm spending the week playing through them in the background while working Apparently Paramount are working on some kind of sequel series with Kelsey Grammar at the moment; no news of returning characters, but obviously no Martin after John Mahoney's death a few years ago. He was amazing and it's hard to imagine the original show without him in the role. Surely they won't manage to scale the same heights, but hopefully Paramount can manage to come up with something entertaining. Edit: "I'm O, from The Story of O." All: "OH!" Arch Stanton
Frasier has to be the best sequel ever; a brilliant cast of main characters and tremendous support from the likes of Bulldog, Bebe, Noel, Gil etc. Sure, there were episodes where they overegged the "Doctor Crane" confusion and some other episodes were more farce than sitcom. Also, he should never have dumped Patricia Clarkson.

They got really, really good at them, and it certainly suited Frasier and Niles' characters Even by the standards of sitcom characters, Frasier was an absolute sex machine. He went through a power of stunning women.

I caught one the other day with Shannon Tweed in it (star of various early 90s softcore bongo movies, and wife of Gene Simmons)

She's a strange lassie. Despite being married to a literal porn star, Gene Simmons is still an inveterate shagger, so she had an actual video game commissioned to warn off other women from shagging him. You'd think it was a joke, but she clearly blames the women rather than her husband, and filled the game with family photos to prove how happy they all are. Yes, I've played it. It's often available at the bargain price of 20p
scottsdad
When I was a teenager there was an illicit VHS of A Woman Scorned going around Alloa Academy. That, and if you were desperate, there was a pile of old jazz mags under a bush in the Pleasure Grounds.

I haven't checked on them yet.

This is a great read on the episode: https://uk.news.yahoo.com/frasier-ski-lodge-oral-history-164309203.html?guccounter=1&guce_referrer=aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ29vZ2xlLmNvbS8&guce_referrer_sig=AQAAAIdvCNRu7rIXrbQq7jskGYp9Sm04wqPbh9P1wNtgFpraNnY50vbAPJ2lcdlHP8rlzrVckQ81VUy279pi1EXgOELdEEJLtQCUjwR6h2oj4kSdcdT1s3IG1u1KBXCus_cnPXIJgtx00sKK7wxuJVvyj3Fq8DMSHee8dtxH3U2P0e5- The episode I most recently watched was "Out With Dad" where Martin ends up pretending to be gay to 'help' Frasier get a girl. Turns into complete farce when the girl tries to set Martin up with her uncle Very similar to "The Matchmaker" episode on Season 2.

Me neither, but my hope is that generations are leaving theirs behind for the next... I recall one was a copy of Razzle from 1985. Big hair indeed, everywhere.

Quite a few Simpsons fans on here...you're looking for some argy bargy, Archie. Spoiler Frasier is better than the Simpsons though...
