That result made the journey home well worth it, M8 was a joke.

Wasnt the best of games,  and as I elaborated on earlier didn’t think we played that well tonight, few players off the pace, but hard to be critical on this run and again they gave absolutely everything and grabbed the 3 points.

Defence was rock solid, as they have been all season, Alexander had very little to do which shows just how well we defended.

What a difference in Nicky Cadden the last 5 games, just goes to show what a bit of confidence can do for a player, time and time again he took the ball for a run allowing us to reshape at the back, his defensive display in the wing back roll was just as good as his attacking roll, but what a goal.

At the time I had question marks over the keeper but having watched it again perhaps that was being overly critical, it’s a brilliant strike hit with so much power.

In February we’ve played Falkirk and Morton away and Dundee Utd, Dunfermline and St Mirren at home and came away with 13 points from 15, quite remarkable.

For anyone questioning why Duffy is constantly walking the time to go tightrope, tonight again provided strong evidence for it.

It's 2nd vs 3rd. It's a massive game in terms of our league aspirations. Possibly the biggest game of the season so far. We've had a team/formula that's been working really well. He fucked with it away at Queens, we scraped a draw. He fucked with it against Dumbarton, we scraped a win. He fucked with it tonight and we lost. Going into a game like this and resting your current first choice front 2, and the only winger in the team, is criminal. Especially if he did it with Saturday's game against Celtic in mind. We'll lose that game. We were always likely to lose that game. Why was that prioritised over this game?

Without a shadow of a doubt, our strongest current team should have played in the match tonight and who knows how it'll have ended up. Instead, we don't. We play terribly. We resort to Duffyball for the whole game and fail to muster a shot on target.

That's all before we even mention the subs. We actually had options on the bench. Our current first choice front 2, and our winger. Chasing the game, 1 down, at home, to the team just above us in the league, and he takes an eternity to make any changes despite the fact that from quite early on it was obviously not working. Then, he only makes 2 subs not the full 3. Why wouldn't you make all your subs to try to snatch something.

If he wanted to rest players ahead of the Celtic game, he should have had a word with Mark Farrell and asked him to leave the pitch covers off rather than going into such a game with a self inflicted weakened team.

Moronic lineup. Non-existent tactics. Short changed the fans again, at a match when there was actually a wee bit of excitement ahead of it.

On the plus side, only 8 points to go Livi. You can do it (because we really don't want to be playing you in the playoffs).

Well first of all congrats to Livi... the only team that appears capable of upsetting our Paisley friends ambitions.  More power to you...

For the younger viewers who don' know what a mantlepiece is - it's the place that Hoppy keeps a photo of JD.  Hoppy has emerged as the top cat in all three encounters so far  whileJD assumes the form of officer dabble.

Not content with  fucking about with three at the back - bemusing his players and fans alike , he  puts  out lucky dip line up in what ( the fans thought) was one of the key games of the season. Changing a line up which had been gathering a bit of momentum.

I suspect that an attempt at a challenge in  this league is not a priority for our board-  and JD is clearly on message.  Watch out for a 5 year deal if we manage any thing in the cup on Saturday ( not to mention Crawford with a perma hard on)

HOP - CAT !  the indisputable leader of the gang  ...

Mon the Livi, reel them Paisley lads in.

Duffy is bad again, I take it?

Correct! 6 wins and 1 draw, with the exception of one or two posts, Duffy doesn't get a mention. First defeat in 8 games, the unhappy clappers are out in force.

Morton supporters, my arse! Skunks in disguise.

The Beast from the East hits Greenock, Amber warnings throughout Scotland. Oh how I love the Amber Machine.

Fair play you guys have been superb this season. Starting to wonder how we can navigate a two legged play off against you if we make it that far.

I just don't get how we could put out that team in a game of such importance.

Obviously Duffy thought Saturday is a bigger game. As @GiGi said on the other thread, we better put in a performance to justify playing such a weakened team last night.

Great result for Livi. What a run we are on. Hopkins has installed a great work ethic in the team.

Yep and kept the pressure off our players all season too, giving it the 'we just want to get enough points to stay up' patter all season as we slowly crept up the table to 2nd spot, even now he's not mentioning top four or any goals other than just taking one game at a time and seeing how many points we can get, and saying to the players to just go out and enjoy themselves. Certainly worked for Cadden firing in his first goal of the season from outside the box last night anyway, players are just going to take pot shots on sight of goal for the fun of it, and why not.
