Kim Jong-Un in South Korea

Recommended Posts

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and South Korean President Moon Jae-in are meeting at their mutual border.
Mr Kim has crossed over to the southern side, the first North Korean leader to do so since the end of the Korean War.
They will discuss North Korea's indications it could be willing to give up its nuclear weapons. Hope everything is alright with Kim?...lol...

Liking the fact that they are just talking to each other on their own. No little sycophants whispering into their ears what to say and no grandstanding in front of their minions. I realise that the long range microphones will be out in force from all sides but at least it looks like they are having an honest chat.

Looks like we can add bringing peace to the Korean peninsula to the list of President Trump's achievements.  MAKA.

This is actually probably going to happen. It would have happened regardless of the US president, but that orange twat is going to take all the credit.

Kim's played a blinder imo. Nukes are militarily useless to NK, if they were ever used they would be utterly destroyed. But without convincing the Yanks that they could launch them at American cities America would not be willing to negotiate, far less drop sanctions if they got rid of them. I doubt they've even managed to minaturise a warhead so it would fit on the end of a missile.

Notice the complete absence of any soliders.

Plenty of soldiers at Panmunjom are trained to shoot anybody who tries to cross the line.

Could have been awkward.  "Oops - sorry - force of habit - sorry."

Does that mean they will stop showing reruns of M*A*S*H?

The US State Department issued a scathing rebuke of North Korea's human rights record on Wednesday, calling the regime "one of the most repressive and abusive governments in the world" just days after President Donald Trump praised dictator Kim Jong Un's "honorable" intentions ahead of a possible face-to-face sit down between the two leaders.

The US State Department are absolutely right.  North Korea must be one of the worst places in the world to live.

However, if Trump wants to speak to their leader, then he needs to say something nice about him or Kim Jong Un will not show up.
