Don’t think they humped us. 2-0 sticks in my head, their keeper was a top boy.
D'Jaffo
Was it not that Cyprus team limassol in the not so friendly friendly. Think he’d been and gone by then. It was definitely a Scottish team as well.

SomersetRoad
I remember up at Livi and he came on and was absolutely woeful. Got a vague idea he actually got subbed on then off again but that's probably nonsenseSpot on.

ayrunitedfw
Going even further back remember we had Kevin Cawley and Diarmud O’Carroll on trial who had both recently left Celtic. It was common knowledge that we’d sign one but not both. It’s fair to say we made the wrong decision as Cawley didn’t score a single goal for us while O’Carroll scored a few for airdire including the winner against us. Fair play to Cawley he’s went on to have a decent career in the lower leagues.

Kitty_Boy
Was gutted we didn't sign Dutch-born Philippines international Jason De Jong or that nothing ever came of the tie up with Soccer Viza. Reckon Adam Miserly could have done a job...

diegomarahenry
Cawley was 5 foot 4 and weighed about 6 stone when he signed for Ayr straight from Celtic youths and wasn't ready for first team football and at the time.
Hawk89
Filipovic looks decent in the 2nd tier of American "soccer", not really sure where that places against our league structure but would assume Championship / League 1?

I always thought Cawley would have been a player, he had a great touch and lots of skill but as you say he was like a wee boy who was chucked in against men and was totally out of his depth. I'd go as far as to say his build at the time we signed him made young Forrest look like Geoff Capes...........
