No chance we are signing a left back whilst we have two on the books. Unless we can ship Reading on (highly unlikely) we won’t be signing a left back.

Agreed. Arguably they might see Musonda as an option at the position as well.

I wouldn't rule out Reading going. Remember when folk said that about slow Joe Chalmers. I think the bigger issue is that Bullen doesn't see it as a problem area.

Yes I agree. Reading needs replaced but as it stands right back, up front and out wide all need to be looked at before we sign for a position we already have two players in.

I really don’t care if he stays or goes. My only ask is that Ecrepont gets given a fair crack in the league cup games and can hopefully make that position his own.

You've said this a couple of times and I get your point but I don't think you can confidently say there is no chance. Reading is clearly not up to it and Bullen doesn't rate Ecrepont. There is more chance of a RB coming in however a LB is also required.

I'd love to see Finn get a run in the team.  We don't have long to wait and find out who Bullen starts at left back.

Albinson

McAllister Stanger McGinty Ecrepont

Murdoch Pendlebury Dempsey

Ashford Amartey Murphy

Subs: Mutch, Hewitt, Musonda, Reading, Smith, Bangala, JML, McKenzie, Bryden, Dipo

Looking at tomorrow, think we might be looking at something along those lines with some youth players and maybe a trialist or 2 adding to the bench.

It would be extremely funny if this was the point that Smith revealed that demolishing the terracing and lifting the pitch was all part of the real grand plan to build Ayr's long-awaited Waitrose there.

They've had weeks to address it and they haven't so no I won't chill.

It isn't football manager, chill.

There isn't an unlimited supply of players out there ready and waiting to sign for teams.

Players, their agents and selling teams will look to drag the process out as long as possible to get as many interested teams bidding against each other.

Like it or not that takes time.

The ironical thing is: sign a full back/s in double quick time but hang onto Dipo as long as it takes to get the fee that we want.

Chill.

Isn't there enough room for a Waitrose where the auld turner's factory was on McCall's avenue?

Always thought when I was younger, that it would be a fantastic idea, for away fans especially, to build 'Ayr United Football Club Train Station' on the railway line behind where the factory was 😂

A Waitrose in Lochside would be quite the event

Do we know what games Dipo will miss, if still here, after his sending off?

To answer my own question. Now on SFA website.

Dipo misses first two competitive games of the season. Stanger the first one.

League games or is that including the league cup?
